New Hampshire economic fundamentals continue to be good indicators that housing will remain a sound long-term investment in the State of New Hampshire.  
Peter Francese, Director of Demographic Forecasts for the New England Economic Partnership. points to the housing market in the past 10 years to illustrate the point that buying a home is still a good long term investment.  (See chart 1 below).  Francese points out that “a home is both a place of your own to live in and, if you take care of it, a fine long-term investment.”

The Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce  and the City of Nashua are hosting a Back to School celebration!
WHEN:  Thursday, August 25th
TIME:     5:00 to 6:30 P.M.
WHERE: Nashua Public Library  - 2 Court Street, Nashua, NH
 Free Pakring Elm St. and High St. Garages from 4-7 pm with free trolley rides from garages to the libarary
Parents and children are encouraged to attend the Nashua Back to School Event.  In addition to free school supplies, there will be refreshments, games, door prize.

 New Hampshire ranks # 1 for kids well being.      The Annie E. Casey Foundation recently released its 2011 KIDS COUNT data Book which looks at children's well-being on a state by state bases.   
     New Hampshire has ranked #1 for the best place in America for a kid to live for the last nine out of 10 years.  
       The 22nd annual report ranks all 50 states on 10 measures of well-being.  The data were collected from 2000-2009.

CNN/Money Magazine recently released its 100 top places to live and Merrimack, New Hampshire was ranked 86 out of 100!

          Enjoy Hudson Old Home Days which continues on August 13 and 14.  It is being held on the grounds of the Hills House located on Route 102 across from Alvirne High School.

CELEBRATE NEW HAMPSHIRE MADE WINESAT THE 2D ANNUAL LIVE FREE AND WINE FESTIVAL
The New Hampshire Winery Assocation is hosting the Live Free and Wine Festival!
Over 17 wineries will take part in the festival, with over 100 wines covering a variety of flavors including local grape wines, fruit wines, ciders and meads
