THE NEW HAMPSHIRE HOUSING MARKET IS HEATING UP
The first days of summer have arrived and the New Hampshire Housing Market is heating up. Inventory is still low in many areas throughout the state. In some markets it is common to see multiple offers within hours or a day after a home is listed with offer prices at or even above the asking price. It is anticipated that this trend will continue throughout the second quarter.

The summer temperatures in New Hampshire have been in the 90’s and the residential real estate market continue to be hot hot hot. Many REALTOR® are reporting a shortage of inventory, multiple offers and offers over asking price.
New Hampshire’s residential real estate market continued on a positive path in May with the most single-family unit sales in eight years according to released recently by the New Hampshire Association of Realtors NHAR.

The April showers brought the most home sales to New Hampshire since 2006 and the highest April prices in the past three years.
The number of residential sales in the New Hampshire reached 1,073, which was a 9 percent increase from April last 2012 and the most of any April since 2006, according to statistics released by the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS®. This marked the 17th consecutive month of year-over-year increases.

The New Hampshire residential real estate market ended 2012 with the most unit sales since 2006, the highest sales volume since 2007 and a trend toward improving median price over the last 5 months!
The 12,961 sales of single family residential properties represented a 21 percent increase over the 10,714 sold in 2011.
The total sales volume was $3.2 billion which was 21 percent higher than 2012. The median price in 2012, which had been lagging behind that of 2011 by 6.5 percent after the first four months, ended the year at $202,000; a little more than $201,700 … (53 comments)

The New Hampshire Real Estate Market continues to show improvement. Home sales in August continued in an upward trend with 22 percent more sales than in August 2011 according to the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS®. Homes sales in New Hampshire increased for the eighth time in eight months that home sales were at least 15 percent ahead of the 2011 pace. According to data released by the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS® (NHAR), New Hampshire home sales and prices continued to increase in June, compared to June 2009,
The 1,289 statewide residential home sales in June 2010 marked a 10 percent increase over the 1,171 sold in June 2009.
The 5,284 homes sold over the first six months of this year represented an 18 percent increase over the same period in 2009.
The residential median price was $229,000 in June of this year. This is a 2 percent increase from June 2009.
