Luxury homes near light rail - 02/26/09 03:18 PM
I realize that "luxury" homes, lofts, condos and high rise units mean different things to different people. For this post, I chose the $750,000 price range to begin my search of some really cool homes near light rail. Today, I looked at a search and found 59 homes priced at $750,000 and above available in this "city within cities" that we call the light rail corridor. The highest concentration is near Hayden Ferry in Tempe with several in Phoenix along Central Avenue ranging from gorgeous single family homes to luxurious high rise living. Here is a partial breakdown of the data of luxury homes near the light rail (2 comments)
NAR hires Todd Carpenter as new Social Media Manager - 02/25/09 10:47 AM
It has finally been announced that NAR's new social media manager is..... Todd Carpenter. After months of rumor and speculation, we now know who sits in the hot seat. Many of us know the amazing job Todd has done with Lenderama and with REBlogWorld and have been impressed with the passion he has for social media. NAR says " We loved Todd's ideas, his easygoing manner, his reputation and how knowledgeable he is about social media. We also really valued his relationships with so many REALTORS® who are using blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media channels to connect effectively with one (5 comments)
Twittering In Missoula Montana - What Is That Anyway? - 02/22/09 04:53 PM
One of the great things about a BarCamp is the connections you make and the people you meet. That's one of the many reasons I am so excited to be helping with the BarCamp in Phoenix on April 23rd. Much more on that to come in the very near future! ( make sure you mark your calendar! ) My recent trip to Seattle for their BarCamp is no exception as it was where I met my new friends, Kevin and Monica Ray from Access Realty. I enjoyed this post from them for a few reasons. 1, They made it sound like I am a lot (1 comments)
"Nichefy" your market? Watch out REBarCamp in Seattle - 02/11/09 02:00 AM
Niche marketing isn't exactly new to the real estate business but it can be a very fun and effective way to "build a community" within a region, market or area of expertise. I feel very fortunate to be heading to Seattle this week to attend "REBarCamp" (has nothing to do with alcohol) at the Zillow headquarters. There, I will learn a lot more about social networking, blogging and more ways to promote my business. One of the many reasons I am heading to Seattle is because of my friend, Rich Jacobson. You see, Rich has agreed to join me in a session (13 comments)
10 Steps for Attracting Twitterers You Want to Connect With - 02/05/09 10:01 PM
If you want to learn Twitter and social media, Domus Consulting is a great place to do it! Via Patrick Kitano (Transparent Real Estate): For the most part, real estate professionals don't know exactly how to network within social media applications like Twitter and Facebook. They join and end up saying "What I am doing here?" The answer: "Meet your community". Twitter makes it easy to meet people you want to meet: FIND YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY TWITTERERS - Go to Twitterlocal.net and follow Twitterers in your area. Follow those who are influential in your community: business leaders, councilmen, chambers of commerce, employees of (4 comments)
I believe many people like to think of "luxury" lofts, condos and high rise units when they first begin talking about homes near our light rail line. While we do have many different types of homes near light rail, it is also good to point out that there are currently hundreds of much more affordable homes near the line. In fact, just this morning I did a search and found 175 homes priced up to or less than $90,000 available in this "city within cities" that we call the light rail corridor. Yes, $90,000.00!
