Did you Short Sale your home in the past?  Potential homebuyers with a previous short sale in their history should pay careful attention to their credit report. If they plan to apply for a mortgage soon, they should make sure the earlier short sale information was reported accurately.

According to Fitch Ratings, the recently expired tax relief provided by the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act (MFDRA) of 2007 may lead to modestly negative pressure on liquidation timelines as potential short sellers hold off listing their home.
