The company HMS Global Maritime says it now has its eye on Tampa Bay for two reasons — no other regular ferry service operates here and it can count on a steady revenue stream from MacDill Air Force Base employees traveling to and from south Hillsborough county each day.

WASHINGTON - March 2, 2011 - The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded over $1.9 million to five Florida fair housing groups. The money will be used to educate the public and local officials about the Fair Housing Act and to investigate fair housing complaints.The Florida grants are part of HUD's nationwide $40.8 million grant for 108 fair housing organizations and non-profit agencies in 36 states and the District of Columbia.
