U.S. Homes Sales, Soar 11%, Highest in Eight Years! - 07/27/09 09:30 PM
This is good news, home sales for June in the U.S. rose 11%, which is the highest increase in eight years.  This was report on MSN.com today.  They were saving that buyers took advantage of great prices, low interest loans, and federal tax credits.  They were stating that this is a sign the housing market is coming back, which is good news for the housing market and the nation. Sales have risen for three straight months, so hopefully this will be a turn around point in the market.  Also a step in the direction of recovery of the economy.

Up country Maui homes for sale under $1million range properties have been moving.  There are some great buys, we have seen prices drop in the 20 to 30% range on an average.  Makawao is an old cowboy town, with country charm.  You will find mostly smaller lots with the average size homes running from 1000 to 2000 sqft.

 Fourth of July was a great week-end on Maui.  There was the Rodeo in Makawao, Windsurf races at Kanaha Beach for the windsurfers and fireworks in Lahaina. There was a small south swell, which my wife and I enjoyed all day.  Got out the BBQ and enjoyed the sunset. I can't help but think about the sacrifice that was paid to make this a great nation.  Our four-fathers risked everything so that we can enjoy the quality of life in America.  So this 4th, I am thankful for all the men and women that gave everything to make this a great country.  I hope … (5 comments)

ALOHA FRIDAY!
It is once again, Aloha Friday.  This is the big week end on Maui.  There will be the Rodeo starting tonight at the Okise Rice Arena.  My daughter is heading up there tonight for the bull riding.  The Rodeo will run all week end.

Then there is going to be lots of fireworks displays.  There is always a big turn out in Lahaina for the fireworks.  People will also be hitting the beach and cranking up the BBQ.
