Winter Whale Season on Maui! - 01/05/11 10:30 AM
I have been waiting to see the beginning migration of the Humpback Whales.  There are many ways that I have found to encounter the gentle giants.  One is driving along the coast, and seeing them swimming in pods.

At times, I will be out surfing and a pack will be swimming down the coast, or launching out of the water.  It's an amazing site to behold.

I have a lot of friends that standup paddle in Kihei, and Wailea and whales will be just cruising right along side of them, poping up out of no-where.  I am looking forward … (11 comments)
