Turned 70 this weekend, and my family threw me a big party. What's next they ask?
Funny people ask me if I am retiring, well no I am not. I love what I do and the lifestyle that I have been able to live. So what would you do at this point in your life?
Real estate has allowed my wife and me to travel to some amazing places. We just got back from Spain and Portugal. While I am working on marketing for the winter, I am setting myself up for a spring trip back to Europe.

What a week we had in Hawaii. Starting out with a false missile alert that had everyone looking for cover. One of my friends Roger was walking on the beach and his wife called him to let him know. He thought, well this is a perfect place to finish my life, kind of a no worries be happy attitude. Not the case with many people, it struck panic in the hearts of many. The good news it was a false alarm.

There are so many reasons I can think of to move to Maui. First off serious we just have some amazing beaches on Maui. Beaches from Kaanapali, Wailea to the Northshore of Maui.
The island lifestyle is a big draw to Maui. I find people are ready to give up on the fast pace of life and choose a more healthy and relaxed style of living.
You don't have to live at the beach, there are so many options, like living in Upcountry Maui, Kula offers homes on the slopes of Haleakala.

Maui 4th of July is a very exciting time, lots of events going on, BBQ's and time at the beach.
4th of July starts off with the Makawao Parade an annual event that the whole island of Maui turns out for.
I love all the beautiful cowgirls representing the different islands in Hawaii. After the parade you move up to Oski Rice Arena for the Makawao Rodeo, with girl barrel racing, bull riding and good food.
Maui has events going on all over the island, some backyard kine, dancing, music and great island food.

Today was an amazing day for big surf in Hawaii. The Eddie Aikau took place at Waimea Bay in 40 ft surf. A young pro surfer took the win, John John Florence. John competes on the world tour, amazing surfer from the northshore.
On Maui, in my backyard Jaws was going off. I live on the northshore where I surf and windsurf when I am not working. I gave my son a call, he was watching the Eddie on TV, and ask him to drive me down to Jaws, it was suppose to be really big.

Winter season is upon us, with the first Hugh surf arriving. Watching the evening news in Hawaii, they were reporting 20 ft surf tomorrow. Waves have have been building, hopefully I can get a surf session in before it gets to big in the morning. I live on the northshore of Maui, places like Hookipa Beach Park will hold surf up to 10 ft waves. We will be looking for the first waves at Jaws with surf looking like it will be over 30 ft.
