Can you just tell me the truth, and why is Fannie Mae listing with... - 05/31/12 07:16 AM
Yesterday was a frustrating day for me and for my buyer. My buyer had identified a home to purchase, we have been back twice, second time with a contractor as this is a Fannie Mae property. The agent sends automated feedback requests, and I have asked please let me know if you have any other offers.
I call yesterday to let them know I am going to be submitting an offer. First the phone number in the MLS goes into a message saying big company name relocation department, we will be closed for the Memorial Day Holiday and we will re-open … (1 comments)

Pennsylvania shares the Wawa experience - 05/30/12 01:27 PM

When I moved to Pennsylvania over twenty years ago I had never heard of Wawa, or the hoagie. The hoagie was my introduction to Wawa, known as a sub in other places, a baguette in Europe and various other names elsewhere, it was reliable as a place for a quick but fresh lunch. Whilst it is not my first choice for a hoagie as I do prefer my bread to be a little crunchy like a baguette, but since beginning to eat vegetarian for health reasons last year I have discovered that Wawa has several veggie options for sandwiches, including … (0 comments)

A rose in Berwyn, PA - 05/24/12 02:39 PM

We got this rose as a gift, it was in a small pot intended to be displayed inside. Well like all good gardeners, Trudy decided it needed the great outdoors. We have done nothing to coddle it, it had to styand on its own, and this morning it just looked glorious.

First time buyers find success with a VA loan in Exton Station - 05/21/12 02:12 PM

First time buyers Jason and Dana outside their new home they purchased and settled on this last Friday in Exton Station. Jason a Navy Veteran used a VA loan, provided through Prosperity Mortgage to purchase the home. VA loans have many benefits for buyers who qualify, allowing them to obtain a 100% loan, with no mortgage insurance premiums, and if the Veteran has any disability rating even as low as 10% the funding fee can be waived which is a significant saving. It also allows some seller assistance as well which can be helpful for young buyers purchasing their first … (2 comments)

Easttown Township new construction opportunity - 05/15/12 10:24 AM
Today, there are fifty five homes on the market available for purchase in the award winning Tredyffrin Easttown School district, rated as having the 3rd best high school, Conestoga in the state, that are priced over $1,000,000. These are all luxury homes, with the majority of the highest priced homes being in Easttown.
Easttown has always been considered the more expensive of the two townships, but there are locations in Tredyffrin that command multi-million dollar prices, such as lots on Valley Forge Mountain and close to Valley Forge National Park.
However, as mentioned above, Easttown Township has generally been considered the … (0 comments)

Curb appeal that elusive quality - 05/11/12 12:04 PM
It is said it takes people about ten seconds to size up another person and decide if they will like and or trust them. Often when out with buyers, it can seem they make a quicker decision than that about a home you take them to see.
Walking through my own neighborhood, with many homes built at the same time and being a similar model, one home can be appealing another not so much. If you ask me what it is about a certain property that attracts or repels I can probably tell you some specific things, but many times it … (0 comments)

Open Houses today - 05/06/12 08:06 AM
Many agents are quick to dismiss Open Houses believing they are used more to generate buyers for the agent than actually selling a home that is Open. Over the last couple of years we can point to open houses being the reason the majority of our listings have sold. With 93% of buyers looking on line and many of them not having an agent, many turn up at an Open House to check out a listing they have seen on line. Often they already know of an agent, or have been reccomended and agent by a friend, so this is not … (0 comments)

Home! - 05/04/12 08:05 AM
I was thinking about my mother this week who died just about two years ago. You know how thoughts go, you start in one place and end up in another.  Last year we visited England and my home town. there is that word, HOME. It got me thinking about what home means to me.

Firstly, following the deaths of my sister a few years before my mother, and my mom, my home town did not feel like home. My brother lives like I do in America. It really surpirised me to think about this feeling this week that the town … (3 comments)
