The recent release of numbers from the census bureau show the fastest growing townships in Chester County between July 2012 to July 2013.

Malvern Boro is a delightful place to live and the building of apartments on King Street may very well account for the large increase in population. It has a great small town/village atmosphere and is surrounded by Willistown Township and Charleston Township both of which carry the Malvern mailing address and are part of the Great Valley School district. Whilst there is a lot of talk about the housing market nationally we always say it is what is happening locally that is important. We have been tracking prices for local townships on and around the Main Line and post these on our website www.VandekarTeam.com as well as writing about them here as well.

Main Line Real Estate, Willistown Township Market Report for 2nd half of 2010.
Single family home price per sq foot rose again this half year in Willistown to $220 per sq foot, from $199 and $195 previously. Days on market are pretty long at 123, and prices realized to asking price are one of the lowest in the surrounding areas at 89%. Sale numbers also were not high with only 39 sales in the second half of the year.

Everywhere you look right now, there are opinions on the real estate market. It is improving, it is getting worse. As we all know the real estate market is local and in some cases hyper-local. so how is the Main Line Real Estate market holding up?
