relocating to austin: Austin's Farmer's Market--Just Another Reason to LOVE Austin - 03/02/09 04:35 PM

If you know me, then you know how much I LOVE AUSTIN. The people, live music, nightlife and sporting events are great, but since having my son, Ethan, a year ago, I've had to expand my social life to family-friendly events too. A few weekends ago, Stephen (my husband), Ethan and I planned our "Austintatious" family outing to Austin's Farmer's Market and the Austin Children's Museum. Unfortunately, Ethan crashed & burned before we could take him to the museum, but we did enjoy a stroll through the market.

relocating to austin: Real Estate Professionals are Great Resources When Job Hunting - 02/02/09 10:00 AM

I’m realizing more during this tough economic time the truth behind the age-old adage, “It’s not what you know, but who you know.” Last week I spoke with two clients looking for jobs in Austin in two different industries. In both conversations I realized I had great connections to aid in their job search, and made a warm introduction for them. Who knows if my introduction will end in jobs, but I can be assured my clients statistically have a better chance of landing a job through a warm introduction than if they contacted the company cold.
