Even after all this time, there isn't one adopted set of standards or guidelines in the valuation industry which classifies exact requirements from those offering BPO's. After watching Sex and the City 2 recently, I couldn't help but ponder if the BPO field is simply a fad, a trend or here to stay.
Be it mainly a girl thing, I think that there is a lot to learn from the concepts behind fads and trends in the fasion industry as it applies to the BPO field. You just won't catch me worried about when the next top designer's line comes out or just who the next upcoming fashion designer is at an upcoming Fashion week. When it comes to the BPO business, I'm all over it! :-)

We all get caught up in one way or another each day and forget to look at the big picture. I am guilty of it and I am sure you are too! It's human nature to get distracted from time to time and I believe is just part of the process.
For many people in business, the truly important things that matter get pushed to the back burner often, many times it is because they simply got distracted and didn't realize that the 'pot is still simmering' in the background. For anyone to excel at the later the first place to start is to take the time to:
* Do Your Research
* Educate Yourself
* Take a Hard Look at Your Own Personal Track Record
* Admit What Doesn't Work
* Then Move Forward with a Plan in Hand.

bpo university: Is It More Difficult to be a BPO Agent in a Rural Area or within an Urban Setting? - 05/30/10 04:59 PM
As you can imagine the answer to this question depends on who you talk to. For me, I have personally experienced doing BPO's in a rural setting and talked with numerous agents all over the U.S. who work in very urban settings.
My experience leads me to believe that doing BPO work in a rural setting is much more limiting. It is difficult to find comps that just aren't there, even after going out up to 10 miles from the subject property.
