It is nice to read that real estate sales have risen since last month.
But take a look at the comments on this article, the author of the first comment does make a few good points as to why people could be hesitant to get into the real estate market.

I thought this article was interesting...it sheds some light on mortgage insurancce industry. It provides some education on what mortgage insurance is and which mortgage insurers are out there. Summarizing a bit, right now CMHC is the major player, government backed, while Genworth and AIG are in the private sector, and now there is a new insurer in the ring.
Even though the government has been setting stricter mortgage guidelines, the article brings up a good point that with another mortgage insurer coming into play, it might bode well for consumers.
