In Quarter 2 - 2022 Charlotte, North Carolina region's home sales continued the trends we've seen since 2015... higher home prices, tight inventory, fewer days on market.
Home buyers continued to find the housing market competitive with higher home prices and a lack of properties to buy, despite an increase in inventory. This was especially so in homes priced under $300,000.
Buyers looking for a bargain remained "hard pressed" to find one. Homes continue to sell quickly, in 15 (20 comments)
Charlotte, NC Region Housing Market Update: May 2018
The Charlotte region's housing market began the second month of the second quarter with home prices up, closed sales down due to limited inventory, but with pending sales up as compared with May 2017. Both average and median sale prices were up in May 2018. Inventory and the months supply of homes remain low and below what they were one year ago with homes selling faster as a result.
May 2018 Closed Sales: down 4.2% versus May 2017. Year-to-date, closed sales were down 0.9% (more to do with lack of inventory than diminished buyer interest). May 2018 Pending Sales: up 9.7% versus May (18 comments)

The Charlotte region's housing market entered the last month of 2018 with home prices up, closed sales up, pending sales up by double digits as compared with November 2016. Both average and median sale prices were up in November 2017. Inventory and the months supply of homes remain low and well below what they were one year ago, which puts upward pressure on home prices.
November 2017 Closed Sales: up 2.9% versus November 2016. Year-to-date, closed sales were up 6.7%. November 2017 Pending Sales: up 14.3% versus Novemberber 2016 and up 6.3% year-to-date. November 2017 Average List Price: increased 9.4% to just under $302,000 versus November (16 comments)

The Charlotte region's housing market ended the first month of the last quarter of 2017 with home prices up, closed sales up, pending sales up by double digits as compared with October 2016. Both average and median sale prices were up in October 2017. Inventory and the months supply of homes remain low and well below what they were one year ago, which puts upward pressure on home prices.
October 2017 Closed Sales: up 2.6% October 2016. Year-to-date, closed sales were up 6.3%. October 2017 Pending Sales: up 15.4% versus October 2016 and up 6.7% year-to-date. October 2017 Average List Price: increased 4.7% to (18 comments)

The Charlotte region's housing market ended the ninth month of 2017 with home prices up, closed sales down, but pending sales considerably up as compared with September 2016. Both average and median sale prices were up in September 2017. Inventory and the months supply of homes remain low and well below what they were one year ago, which are a primary cause of the slowdown in sales.
