Charlotte, NC Region Housing Market Update: 4th Quarter 2018
4th quarter 2018 Charlotte, North Carolina region’s home sales continued the trends we’ve seen since 2015. Home buyers are finding the housing market very competitive with higher home prices and a lack of properties to buy. Buyers looking for a bargain are “hard pressed” to find one. Meantime, home sellers continue to sell their homes relatively quickly and for top dollar, when priced right for condition and location. With regional months supply of homes at 2.2 months, the Charlotte region remains very much a seller's market.

Union County, NC School Board Fails To Debate Offer Of Mobile Classrooms
To Avoid Unpopular Redistricting Plan

As I reported yesterday, Union County Commissioners offered to purchase 49 mobile classrooms at a cost of $3 million to delay the highly unpopular redistricting plan for Union County's public school students. This offer would "buy" the Union County School Board time to come up with alternative plans to alleviate the overcrowding in many of the Union County schools while avoiding wholesale redistricting, whereby almost 6,000 of Union County's public school students would be affected.
The School Board meeting last night, which was attended by some 800 parents and … (2 comments)

Union County, NC Public Schools Redistricting Possibly On Hold

The highly controversial and unpopular school redistricting plan for Union County schools may possibly be put on hold. Yesterday evening, Union County Commissioners made an offer to pay for some 49 mobile classrooms at an approximate cost of $3 million to help avoid redistricting for 14% of Union County's school population (almost 6,000 students). The overriding idea behind this proposal is to buy time for the Union County School Board to figure out a long-term solution to overcrowding in certain schools, which obviously could include the construction of new schools in those areas … (4 comments)

The highly anticipated public schools redistricting plan in Union County, NC will affect some 5,800 children, who will now be transferred to new schools within the district. 19 of the 30 Union County elementary schools are impacted and all of the middle and high schools.
Wholesale redistricting, which will impact entire neighborhoods and subdivisions throughout Union County, will impact not only thousands of children/students, but also possibly home values as well as many neighborhoods that were previously in top rated school assigned areas and sold at a premium because of school assignments, are now … (2 comments)

This is a housing market report for homes for sale in Union County, NC area for September 2013. Real estate market data and analysis is provided by Nina Hollander, Realtor with the Carolinas Realty Partners/RE/MAX Executive Realty.
The Union County story-line right now has to be the low inventory levels of homes for sale as of September 2013.
