How many of you really network with a lot of different businesses or people? I love to be out and about and have to say that I just enjoy meeting people - It is like I meet someone and make a friend and they lead me to 10 more of their friends - I am just now getting to meet some of the other parents at my grand-daughters school and it is a whole new experience - My grand-daughter is just starting to kindergarten and it is opening up a whole new group of people for me to meet -

My husband and I just returned from a 3 day getaway - and I have to say that it was just what the doctor ordered - We had a great time - did lots of things to get our minds off our work and it was great! I forwarded all of my calls to my 2 team members and so the phone was "silent" - I think that short trips work the best for me - just enough to recharge my batteries - would you believe that I arrived back home yesterday around4 - turned my phone back on and got

Yeah!!! I finally got my Blackberry Curve and so far I really like it! I have never had a phone like this before - I love all of the features - internet and email on the go!! Have you ever heard this??? I am thinking it may have been John Maxwell - but it sure is a good saying -- How many times do we have to fail before sometimes we succeed? It is like saying "Practice makes Perfect" --- Do not get weary because certainly if we continue we will eventually succeed. Do you ever get soooo busy that you forget about your friends???? Well, I decided to take today and spend it with one of my elderly friends - she is such a blessing to me and I know I will feel so much better after spending some time with her today - She is a widow and does not drive, so it makes her day, whenever I take time to visit with her -- we go go lunch, and shop and just whatever catches our fancy -- I always enjoy the time I share with her -- wonder why I just

Don't you just love it when you hear from the bank that your client is qualified to buy!!! Yeah!!! And they are wanting to find a home and move in as quickly as possible --- This is the kind of news that just makes our day! What is about the quickest time that you have ever started from beginning of writing the contract on property until you actually set down at the closing table? Please comment and let me know - Most of our banks usually take about 30 days or more --- can anyone top that? I will look

How is everyone's Wednesday going? I have been to the office for several hours and feel like I have accomplished quite a bit --- However, some days it seems like I just can't get ahead --- But - in talking to several of the newer agents, it seems like we should all be glad if we are busy, especially if it is connected to our business - Some agents have no leads, no clients to work with and does not hardly know how to get any business ---soooooo, be glad that you have clients to work with and stay positive ----

Just wondering if anyone can tell me anything about getting into a franchise with your real estate business - My goal is to be the principal broker and have a team of agents - THere are several franchises in my "rather small town" and there are lots of other real estate offices also - Is there any benefits in being connected with a franchise or does that really matter --- Several of my friends have said that you have to establish your own "identity" and people will do business with "YOU" and the name over the door does not

Well, I certainly have to say that anyone would love to live in our town -- It has the friendliest people and of course it is attracting so many new businesses and people are coming here from all over because they love the feel of being in the country but still yet close enough to have all of the perks of the big city living - Our climate is great year round and the lakes are so beautiful and certainly so much fun --- I love to invite my friends to come visit because there is always something fun to do

WOW!! I had an awesome day today - My team and I got two new listings and wrote one sales contract! We were excited - My personal goal is to write ten sales contracts for the month and as of today - I am halfway there - so I am right on track! We are planning our work and working our plan! Wow, I just used the most awesome website today --- www.dashfly.com --- Please check it out! I was showing 5 different properties and honestly did not hardly know which one to show first, BUT I remembered seeing this website a few weeks back and I have to say it is great - I just put the addresses in and it told me which ones to go to first and just gave me the schedule to follow --- I have told all my friends about it and I highly recommend trying it whenever you feel the need to save time and gas!

WOW!!! What a Monday! I say all the time that "Action speaks louder than words" and it has been an action packed day -- I had my week all planned this morning and by noon, it seems like I have enough work for another week already and so I will have to put on my juggling shoes and start to work -- out a schedule for the week! I love it! So much action and that in turn creates excitement and that is so good to keep me all pumped! I surely am not complaining because a lot of my friends

How many of you have weekly trainings or property tours at your office - Actually, we rotate. One week is training and the next is property tours - Our trainer will do extra trainings also for the newer people which I think is awesome - Most of the newer agents seem to really enjoy learning more each week and of course the more seasoned agents sometimes feel like they are doing just fine and sometimes rarely show up at the trainings - Also, at our office - we assign a mentor to each new person and that works really well -

These counter offers are driving me crazy!! They certainly can if you allow it - I have been working with a buyer for over a week now and we have countered back and forth several times with the sellers and I have to say that it is starting to get to me --- Why can't you just make an offer and either accept or reject --- who came up with these wonderful counter offer forms???? What are the days that you "take off" from work each week? I have talked with several realtors and they tell me that they never take a day off - They are on call 24 hours a day - seven days a week -- And I have to honestly say that I have been in this business for a little over a year now, and I have taken several days and weeks off - and my business is doing great! I would think you could burn out real quick if you don't take some time off --- You surely owe it

What kind of books do you read for motivation? I have just set a goal to read a certain number of books in the next month and was wondering if any of you could recommend some good books for motivation? I love Zig Ziglar -- I like the kind of books that you can read in about 2 or 3 days --- not too thick -- also, I enjoy listening to books on cd also --- Since, I am in the car a lot sometimes, that seems to work very well for me --- I would appreciate any and all suggestions

VENDOR LISTS - Does anyone use them? How many DAYS ON THE MARKET?? - 08/08/08 07:50 AM
When going out to do a listing - I always list them for a year --- How many days do you list them for? I was told to go for a year, because I explain to my clients that since "everyone" is saying the market is slow or down now, it could take longer, so instead of having to do the paperwork over, we should list it for that long and of course, at our company anytime that they want to take it off the market or get "out" of the contract, they can do that -- so it always makes

WOW!!! I started the day out with meeting with 2 clients to put their properties on the market - and in the meantime, got a call to show property in the afternoon - met with my client to do their final walk through in the evening and received another call to put another property on the market and then of course received another call that one of my clients received their pre-approval letter for me and to top it off received an accepted contract on a property that we had submitted an offer on Saturday --- WOW!! Do you know that motivation comes from within??? Sometimes you may hear someone speak and what they say can really motivate you but that motivation can be temporary -- If you want to be motivated - you need to stay around positive people, listen to positive tapes, read positive books and do anything that will plant great thoughts in your mind about what you really want to achieve and then when you start to act toward what you want to accomplish - you will become motivated from within --- You will begin to see results in what you are hoping to

I have a question and maybe some of you can give me an answer - Do you normally ask for a copy of the home inspection to be sent to you and of course always a copy for your clients - and also, do you think it is best to advise your clients to get a home inspection before they put an offer on a house??? I have been told that it is best to do it before and then I have been told not to do one until after you have an accepted contract and I honestly can see it
