Here are some great tips that I have found especially beneficial for Hosting Open Houses
1. Always have low back ground music on, (something classical) think Disney movie music, it appeals to everyone sounds familiar and leaves an impression. People associate memories to music.
2. Clean I can't say it enough, get rid of any garbage under sinks or bathrooms, we don't want any odors.
3. Sweet scents such as cinnamon, are welcoming but don't over do it.
4. Soft lighting even though its during the day.
5. Fresh flowers are appealing to everyone have a couple placed throughout the home.
6. take EVERYTHING of the kitchen counter !
7. matching towels in the bathroom neatly folded.
8. De-clutter every room less is more!
9. Take Pets off property.
10. Provided color Pamphlets for people to take home.
And keep them short no more then 1.5 hours! Make people come not feel there is no rush! Happy Open houses!
Prince George is having there Cancer fund-raising walk this weekend, I walked last night and thank you to those who contributed to my walk. Here are some photos, and I will update everyone on our offices total this week. Royal LePage Prince George was the only Real Estate Office at the walk and I think its important to show the community that we care after all, all of us everywhere have been effected by this horrible sickness!
Here is a look at our wonderful University! UNBC pictures were taken April 8, 2007 . The New Sport Center is due to open this fall. It will be amazing place. Lots of expension taking place here! What an amazing learing center.
Hey there everyone, I was just thinking in our day and age blended families, single parents, are more the norm now than traditional families. Yet we constantly see advice in REM or other publications telling us how to improve our relationships and family lives which is good, but its all generated to couples. As a single mom of 2 beautiful girls, working full time it would be nice to have some sort of support group, or advice from other single parents that we all could share and find useful in trying to balance our busy careers and family life solo! After all, if couples find it hard, I am sure our kids find it harder, especially when there is no other parent at home to help out! So if anyone wants to share tips, ideas, or maybe just vent a little or share a funny story (that would be good) then please do so, I know i would love to hear from other fellow parents!
We had a blast in Alberta! Me and my girls, (Gabirelle, Brook-Lynne, & Danika) We went to a place called GUZOO it is a wonderful place for young and old! It is a private farm that is a licenced zoo and it is great, you can hold baby lions etc. They have monkey's too! Anyhow check them out at www.guzooforever.com It is a great place and such good people! They rescue and care for so many animals. You have to check out the website to see what I mean! Anyhow a good friend recommended it to me, and I am ever grateful he had, and now I am recommending it to everyone! A proud support of GUZOO! Take care and everyone have a great spring! giselle
Hello everyone, Spring is here well I guess really its here tomorrow, but I feel it early, lol. Hope everyone is planning on a fast paced year! I've been so pumped lately with "The Secret" DVD and the great info that contains, to the amazing Mark Leader program I have been incorporating into my life. Please if anyone is feel down or worn out get a hold of Mark Leader's programs. He has a great one on how to protect our commissions that i have incorporated and honestly it works! On one co-listing, I even had listers, change the already agreed upon listing commission of 6% that they had with the other Realtor on a signed contract to up it to the 7% i felt it should be to properly market their home! We all need to be paid what we deserve, the cost of working and living is going up, why should we be taking less! I hope everyone is doing well, and that we can all encourage each other as working professionals to hold the integrity of our industry and our professionalism and that means no wal-mart sales! lol . All my best to all of you, giselle
Aerial view of the area where a major container port will be located
An announcement is expected in the coming days from CN, that it will start a "container stuffing facility" on the existing CN yards here in the city. This is not a full fledged "Inland Container Port" as the rumor had been circulating, but rather making the containers that are moving from here to Prince Rupert available for what is termed in the trade " container stuffing ". That entails using the back haul cars to be stuffed with products for off shore shipping through the Port of Prince Rupert and the new container service being brought on stream there.
Meantime, Opinion250 has details of what may be the worst kept secret in Prince George. A large Inland Container Port that is quietly being put together in the city, is moving along with Moffat property on airport hill being the corner stone of a proposed giant Inland container Port.
The Moffat property has been sold to a company in the lower mainland. Surrounding property in the area has either been purchased or is in the throws of negotiations.
That project would entail about 2400 acres in total and would be located at the top of Highway 16 east, near the Prince George regional airport.
An individual close to the project (who spoke on the condition of not being identified) said , " There is only one piece of property that needs to be purchased to put this package together , the people trying to buy the land are hoping that the land owner doesn't know what's up, but they already know ".
The purchase of this large tract of land would be the home for the Inland Container Port.

Prince George is growing and we have lots of things to be excited about! I just have to remember to keep updating my blog to inform everyone!
I don't know why but March always has the worst weather, I still love the month though! It is unpredictable, its moody and changes constantly......hmmm sounds like March is Mother nature's PMS month! Lol, hey it can't be all that bad, after all I 'm a March baby! Happy Spring to everyone
I cant think of a more motivational, inspiring and self renewing experience and yet really such a simple reality! I'm sure a lot of you have seen it, but for those of you who haven't do , really, really do! Hope all is well with everyone, and that we keep the positive out look that we are living in amazing time of progress, change, and advancement! All my best, giselle
Just got back on Monday from a fantastic trip to Banff AB. for the Western Conference. What a trip! The perfect place to learn about balancing our lives, and getting back to the basics. We heard from keynote speakers, David Chilton (wealthy Barber), Mark Leader (top realtor), Micheal Vickers, Kit Grant, and many many more! The weather was fantastic, and the spit fire Dr. Kenford Nedd (the stress doctor) Was amazing! He had us up and dancing and singing the right way to end a conference, we have a lot to be happy for if we have our health and live in north America we have nothing to complain about! Here's some pictures of the trip and hotel at the Banff Springs! I must say that Royal LePage was the most represented office there, with 25% of our own office from Prince George that attended. Hope to see everyone and my more new ones there in 2009! The out door hot spring pool is a must at night!
I hope you feel my positive Vibe, in my blog. I love Prince George BC, and my job as a professional Realtor! My job is based on the fundamental principal that my clients feed and clothe me and my family, thus treat them as such! If you have any questions on BC, Prince George, or Real Estate drop me a line. Love to help
