Love yourself first! (2) - 02/28/12 06:01 AM

You cannot love anyone else until you learn to love yourself. Take some time today to reflect on yourself. Compliment the things you love and make a plan to change the things you don’t.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Where does your Happiness comes from? - 02/26/12 05:17 AM
by Noemi Cardoso 02/26/2012

How many times have we heard people to say that if they have more money to buy this or that, they would be so happy? Or if they had this job or that they would be happier? Or if they found that perfect someone their life would be heaven? Or many other reasons to explain why they are not happy now. I know I have heard these, and many other countless excuses, as the cause for people not being happy or being less happier. It always makes me speculate. When did things changed and we lost the … (4 comments)

There is a season for everything. - 02/23/12 03:03 PM

It’s middle of February, and, here in New England, we should have a couple of inches of ice and snow as a ground cover, however this season, has been very mild, and it is an inconceivable 55 degrees, when it should be just only around the teens. Sure I do enjoy the break from the white stuff, who doesn't???

As I stand in my kitchen, looking outside into the deck and beyond into the wonderful horizon, where the ocean meets the skies, I see, with the corner of my eyes, some color on the deck. What a wonderful … (0 comments)

Life's hard lessons are, after all, to be learned. - 02/19/12 08:52 AM
I have a friend who has become close and someone I truly care for. We have much in common and even considered, at one point, trying a relationship on our own. However, after a few dates, and a couple of great days spent together, doing things we both like very much, some things came to light, and I found out they have some unfinished business somewhere else, so I decided to back up from that journey all together. I could see the writings on the wall, and came to understand that maybe this friendship is just that, a friendship. The fact that we … (0 comments)

Fear versus Courage - 02/18/12 05:09 AM

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." - Nelson Mandela
Who's not afraid of something in life.
I know I am terrified of few things in life. I am terrified, for example, of the simple idea of having someone cut into one of my organs. Or to loose myself in my own desire and do wrong and hurt others and myself. Or to have an accident and be dependent of other for the rest of my life, or to suffer the loss of any of my children and few other things in life.

Housing Crisis to End in 2012 as Banks Loosen Credit Standards - 02/17/12 10:08 AM
01/24/2012 By: Krista Franks Capital Economics expects the housing crisis to end this year, according to a report released Tuesday. One of the reasons: loosening credit.

The analytics firm notes the average credit score required to attain a mortgage loan is 700. While this is higher than scores required prior to the crisis, it is constant with requirements one year ago.
Additionally, a Fed Senior Loan Officer Survey found credit requirements in the fourth quarter were consistent with the past three quarters.
However, other market indicators point not just to a stabilization of mortgage lending standards, but also a … (2 comments)

What beauties are we passing by every day? - 02/16/12 10:46 PM
After an awesome day spent with a large group of friends and buisiness associates in Lincoln, New Hampshire here I am now, sitting on my bed, going through my emails waiting for my body to completely feel at easy and finally surrender itself to a nice and relaxing sleep.
It was an exceptional day, but was also a long one. We started at 4am. We snowshoed, hiked, some went on skiing and innertubing down the mountain covered with snow. We enjoyed a lovely and pleasant lunch together, then went on our marry way to do watherver we felt like doing for the afternoon.
My friend and I … (1 comments)

I ACED my final exam! - 02/14/12 11:04 PM
I have always considered life as a classroom, I've written in one of my blogs before. We are always learning and being tested on what we have learned.
For the last few years I have spent a lot of time learning lessons that where somehow overdue, some were not the easiest ones I have learned so far. However as time goes by, and as the good counselor that it is, it helps us understand many of these lessons, and we apply ourselves to be the best student we can be.
That is one thing I know I have. I have always been … (3 comments)

Note to self....JUST BREATHE! - 02/13/12 02:09 PM

Sometimes we miss the point all together because we are stuck on a place that we can't see anything further other than the few inches in front of our noses.
This type of energy is not the type of energy you should bring into your life. Sometimes, when you are off balance or moody the only way out is to stop. Do nothing, give yourself a break and space to create a better state of mind.
Sometimes it feels like there’s no time for all of this. We have responsibilities, schedule, agendas, people depending on us, things that need to … (1 comments)

Love yourself first! - 02/12/12 10:26 AM

If you have been reading many of my blogs, you already know that, for the last 2 and a half years, I have been through a lot of inner contemplation, changes, rescue, learning, search and discovery of myself. Well I am pleased to say that based on a experience I had this past week, which made me to take a route that I am not sure it have been the one I would have taken 3 years ago, I am aware that I have come out of this journey to the center of myself, a new and stronger version of the … (1 comments)

“The grass is always greener where you water it.” –Unknown - 02/05/12 08:43 AM
The first time I heard the phrase “the grass is always greener on the other side,” I was 12 years old—and I heard it in song.
I didn’t know at the time that this was from the play Woman of the Year, because two women in my theater group sang it as part of a musical review. Still, it made a deep impression on me.
One of the characters is a housewife, and the other is a famous TV news personality—and yet they both feel certain they’re missing out on amazing experiences because of the lifestyle they’ve chosen.
The celebrity sings, … (3 comments)
