Thousands of Reasons. - 03/31/12 06:03 AM
Close your eyes, silence your mind, shush distractions, let go, even if for a little while, of all the things that are not working, focus on the ones that are, listen to the words your heart has to tell you. It loves you, it sees no limitation, it will show you things that you already know, but have forgotten in the busyness of this life. Doe Zantamara wrote one of my, many, favorite sayings: 'If every morning you can find a reason to say, "Yes, it's going to be a beautiful day." And every day, you find a reason to (3 comments)
Where did time go? - 03/30/12 05:26 AM
Where did time go? It is almost the end of the first quarter. Can you believe it? Again, it is amanzing how fast days are going by, you blink, and the month is gone, wow... How are things moving along? Are your annual goal in target? Yes? No? The beggining of a new month combined with a new quarter, I find, is a great time to sit down and review the trajectory plan of your journey. To adjust few routes, eliminate others and reinforce, yet some others, all in order to bring you closer to what your desired destination is. (5 comments)
Today's blog will be short and sweet. Can you take 10 minutes before you start your day and write down or think about the 10 people or things you are most grateful for in your life? As you do, let's go wild and take one whole minute, think how good they are, or how good your life is because of it. The thought will bring you a warm feeling, hold on to it throughout the day. I can almost guarantee this is going to be a great day! If you have a chance, let the people on your list know that they are (10 comments)
Keeping yourself motivated. - 03/28/12 04:53 AM
Last week we had a RE/MAX Convention in Boston, which is, by the way always a great event to attend. We had a number of success histories shared by different speakers and our featured speaker was Aaron Ralston. He shared with a room of many successful agents, his life changing experience when he was trapped by a boulder while canyoneering alone near Moab, Utah and resorts to desperate measures in order to survive. (Theme of the movie '127 Hours'). Well, I invited a friend from another office to come and enjoy the presentation with us. My friend, who I truly care for, (15 comments)

It almost sounds too simple to feel important, but one word...gratitude, can change your attitude, and thus your life, forever. Sarah Breathnach said it best... "When we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present... We experience heaven on earth." It's almost lunch time, so, sit back, crank up your speakers and enjoy a well deserved break. (4 comments)

Failure is an event not a person. - 03/26/12 08:35 AM
After Thomas Edison’s seven-hundredth unsuccessful attempt to invent electric light, he was asked by a New York Times reporter, “How does it feel to have failed seven hundred times?” The great inventor responded, “I have not failed seven hundred times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those seven hundred ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work.” (7 comments)
It amazes me to see how many people I meet every day, hesitates when asked a simple and primary question: 'ARE YOU HAPPY?'. I truly mean happy, regardless of your position, power, bank account, car or home size. Let's imagine you were to lose everything, I mean all,(house, car, job, power, money, position, friends, lover, partner, etc) tomorrow, would you still able to remain happy? How Will the Mortgage Settlement Impact the Real Estate Market? - 03/24/12 07:03 AM
Last month, the state and federal governments finalized an agreement with the five major banks regarding their paperwork challenges throughout the robo-signing mess. The National Mortgage Settlement will have a major impact on the housing market over the next three years. The long term effect will be to prevent a certain percentage of homes from entering the foreclosure process through refinances and principle reductions. However, the settlement will negatively affect home prices in the short term. You can find a quick synopsis here: National Mortgage Settlement: What You Need to Know In the short term the market will affect (3 comments)
10 Life Lessons From Albert Einstein - 03/23/12 03:29 PM
I love Albert Einstein and I love Paulo Coelho. So when Coelho posted these ten lessons from Einstein on his blog I was immediately sold :) 1. Follow Your Curiosity: “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” 2. Perseverance is Priceless: “It’s not that I’m so smart; it’s just that I stay with problems longer.” 3. Focus on the Present: “Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.” 4. Imagination is Powerful: “Imagination is everything. Buying x Renting? What is your best option in the current Market? - 03/23/12 03:16 PM
With the current real estate market conditions, most people wonder if it is a good time to buy a home. Many also wonder about Buying vs Renting a home. These are both good questions, and they are fair questions. Considering the fact the owning a home is the largest investment that most people will make in their lifetime. In this article, we will go over some of the advantages of buying a home now rather than waiting. We will also go over some facts to see if it is a good time to buy vs rent a home.
Since the housing bubble burst, it seems like everyone and their mother can’t stop talking about what a great time it is right now to buy a home, but how good is itreally? After years of seeing home prices drop like flies and rental markets tightening up better than pair of Spanx, it’s safe to say that homeownership is very affordable almost everywhere. In fact, it is now cheaper to buy than to rent in 98 of the 100 most populous metros – including (shocker!) pricey places to live like New York, Los (0 comments)

Welcome Spring! - 03/20/12 04:27 AM
This is my favorite season of the year. It always reminds me that no matter how bad winter has been, which was not at all bad this year, there is always a dormand seed inside, and it will bloom at the first sign of changes. In this case, as soon the warmth weather and sun comes along, so does the beautiful flowerrs. Just like life, nothing is too bad that shall not pass. Have a wonderful season!
This is the Challenge: For the next 30 days, act towards the world, everything and everyone with whom you come in contact, with the ATTITUDE which represents the kind of results you want to achieve. That is: if the result you want is more success in what you are doing, act as tough you are already in possesson of the success you seek. I was up early today, got my cup of coffee and start opening the doors and windows, inviting the beauty of this morning to come in and fill my little piece of heaven. I finally settled on the deck, sipping my coffee, watching the sun rising in front of me, the ocean flat meeting the horizon, the dew of the morning lingering, the brine smell of the ocean feeling my senses, the loud chirping of the birds, like songs sang in celebration to the arrival of a new season, filling the air....it all brings me back to life, to a fusion (3 comments)

Spring Forward: Daylight Saving Time 2012 Begins Sunday - 03/10/12 11:59 AM
Sunday we wind the clocks forward an hour, i.e., we lose an hour of sleep. By Deborah Kadin - March 9, 2012 It's nearly time to 'Spring Forward.' At 2 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, March 11, we'll be springing our clocks forward—and losing an hour of the day, for daylight saving time. The bad news: we lose an hour of sleep. The good news: sunset will be an hour later. You may have noticed the annual tradition of daylight saving time has crept forward a bit. We used to spring forward on the first Sunday in April and fall (1 comments)

Now, that the weekend is approaching, my brain is slowly but steadly going back to balance. I know! The to do list is still a mile long, there is a pile of paperwork to be reviewed and signed, business cards, name tags and websites to be ordered and changed, all of this while managing clients and appointments, but the most important things have already been done and the best of all is I am happy (1 comments)

“Turn your face toward the sun and the shadows will fall behind you.” ~Maori Proverb Imagine a graph showing the number of hours the average person spends out of doors today compared with 50 years ago. Imagine another graph showing how many people suffer from depression, stress, and anxiety compared to 50 years ago. I’m confident that there would be a direct correlation between the two graphs; as one has declined the other has risen. As we’ve turned our backs on nature we’ve lost our natural source of happiness. By turning our faces back toward the sun we find lasting happiness (0 comments)

The Same, But Different. - 03/02/12 04:37 AM
A friend, who is an aspiring screenwriter, has told me that the film industry and moviegoers essentially want “the same, but different.” We want the same themes, but with different people; the same humor, but in different circumstances. We want to see good rewarded, and for love to conquer all; we want the hero to change for the better, and the villain to reap what he sows. We want action, excitement, adventure, and romance; we want to feel terrified and then relieved; we want to doubt and then believe. We want to see people fall and survive—struggle and thrive. Start noticing the beauty of small moments. Instead of waiting for the big things to happen – marriage, kids, big promotion, winning the lottery – find happiness in the small things that happen every day. Little things like having a quiet... cup of coffee in the early morning, or the delicious taste and smell of a homemade meal, or the pleasure of sharing something you enjoy with someone else, or holding hands with your partner. Noticing these small pleasures on a daily basis makes a big difference in the quality of your life. Life is awesome. Wish you a wonderful night! (1 comments)
