You’ve decided you want to live in one of Los Angeles’ South Bay Beach Cities but which one is right for you? Sometimes the choice is dictated by price (Redondo Beach is the most affordable), sometimes it is dictated by location (Manhattan Beach is closest to Los Angeles International Airport) and other times your heart is set on a beach cottage within walking distance of the sand (Hermosa has retained much of its beach lifestyle charm). I decided to take a mid-year pulse on the high-end luxury home market in Palos Verdes and the Beach Cities of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. Beach Cities:Manhattan Beach has 7 homes currently for sale priced over $5,000,000. Hermosa Beach has 14 properties for sale above the $5,000,000 mark. Redondo Beach has only 1 property in the $5,000,000 and up price range. Palos Verdes:Palos Verdes Estates has 6 properties listed for more than $5,000,000.
