Thankful Day #12 The Macy Day Parade - 11/19/10 08:50 PM
I got home today from a long day of running around and I read a post from Gerry Michaels from Gettysburg, but really from LI, NY (you can tell) and Gerry was posting a really funny video about the Macy Day Parade.  It got me thinking about that and I was kind of depleted about being thankful, but Gerry sparked a thankful thought for me.

Paying it Forward, Way, Way Into the Future - 11/12/10 02:15 PM
I love that this group makes me think about doing things a little differently and being aware of what I do and how it affects others.  Knowing that a simple gesture can cause another to act and another to act is so powerful.
I have six grandchildren and I spend a little more time with my daughters little girl than the others right now because she is going for her masters in special ed at night and so she drops off Isabelle on her way to school.  We are having a little special bonding.  I am very present with her.  We … (5 comments)

Thankful Day 5 For The Veterans - 11/11/10 01:24 PM
Today is Veterans Day, a real holiday, not a made up Hallmark holiday but a real and important American Holiday.  Today is the day to say thank you with you hand over your heart to the men and women who have left their homes and families to keep us safe and keep us free.  Thank you for wearing the same clothes days in a row and eating not so gourmet food day after day.  Thank you for coming home to unemployment and not great medical care and not being bitter.  Thank you for loving this country even when you are not always feeling … (4 comments)

Thankful Day 4 - 11/10/10 05:33 PM
It is my 4th day and so far so good.  It is Wednesday and one of the perks of being a Realtor is that my day off can be in the middle of the week.  I don't get too many weekend days but I actually prefer being off when most people are not.  So today I got to spend the day with a friend.  She also took the day, she usually works Monday to Friday but she took today off.
