tyler texas property: Who said it? - 10/15/09 12:05 PM
In America, there's a failure to appreciate Europe's leading role in the world.

If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists - to protect them and to promote their common welfare - all else is lost.

My job is not to represent Washington to you, but to represent you to Washington.

Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.

tyler texas property: "They were the worst three months of all time," - 10/15/09 03:58 AM
Despite concerted government-led and lender-supported efforts to prevent foreclosures, the number of filings hit a record high in the third quarter, according to a report issued Thursday.
"They were the worst three months of all time," said Rick Sharga, spokesman for RealtyTrac, an online marketer of foreclosed homes.
One in every 136 U.S. homes were in foreclosure, which is a 5% increase from the second quarter and a 23% jump over the third quarter of 2008."REO activity increased from the previous quarter in all but two states. Delinquent borrowers want out of the mortgage worse than the lenders. There are no … (4 comments)

Wow, You think this could happen? Ha! Ha! It would not surprise me one bit. The way things are going this is funny to me and I know most of you will love it.

Just having a bit of fun at the socialists expense. Lord knows they have no sense of humor or decency anymore.

tyler texas property: Don't disagree with us or we will attack!!!!!!! - 10/12/09 09:33 AM

The White House and congressional Democrats, along with prominent supporters of their health care reform plans, fired back Monday at the insurance industry for issuing a study that claims the reform bill working its way toward a key vote Tuesday will raise the cost of individual coverage by hundreds of dollars a year.
Calling Fox News "a wing of the Republican Party," the Obama administration on Sunday escalated its war of words against the channel, even as observers questioned the wisdom of a White House war on a news organization.

tyler texas property: Leadership at it's best????? - 10/11/09 02:27 PM
Obama said in July 2008:

"We need more troops, more helicopters, more satellites, more Predator drones in the Afghan border region. And we must make it clear that if Pakistan cannot or will not act, we will take out high-level terrorist targets like bin Laden if we have them in our sights."

Present Day:
Well, Obama got his wish. He became president. He is now fully in command. He can divert any resources he wishes from Iraq to Afghanistan. He got to appoint a new commander for the Afghan campaign, Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal. And what did Gen. McChrystal … (14 comments)

tyler texas property: Baby, It's cold out there. - 10/10/09 01:39 PM
A cold front moved into Denver overnight, dropping temperatures into the teens with record lows for the date. Coors Field was covered with a thin layer of snow and ice Saturday morning and flurries were expected to continue through the night.
National Weather Service meteorologist Eric Thaler said the cold front packed more punch than expected and easily broke the record low for the date of 25 degrees set in 1905.
"It's not going to get as warm as we thought. It got much colder than we anticipated," Thaler said. "We crushed the record: 17 today, 7:22 this morning. Up in … (12 comments)

tyler texas property: Business like it has always been done.... - 10/09/09 02:54 PM
Politicians say solutions aren't simple, but they really are. If you make something complicated you are almost always doing one of two things. You are either trying to hide or cover-up some previous mistake or malfeasance. Or you have something hidden in the solution for somebody else you want to pay back. Both are common in Washington as well as state government.  Do you realize that our Political leaders do things everyday that would get you and I fired in the real world "we" live in? A politicians vote is for sale on almost every bill that is introduced. This is … (5 comments)

tyler texas property: Put you ego aside and help the troops.... - 10/05/09 03:05 PM
According to sources close to the administration, Gen McChrystal shocked and angered presidential advisers with the bluntness of a speech given in London last week.
The next day he was summoned to an awkward 25-minute face-to-face meeting on board Air Force One on the tarmac in Copenhagen, where the president had arrived to tout Chicago's unsuccessful Olympic bid.
In an apparent rebuke to the commander, Robert Gates, the Defence Secretary, said: "It is imperative that all of us taking part in these deliberations, civilians and military alike, provide our best advice to the president, candidly but privately."

WHY WOMEN SHOULDN'T TAKE MEN SHOPPING
After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target.  Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.  Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse.  Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target.
Dear Mrs. Samuel,
Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store.  We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store.  Our complaints against your … (13 comments)

Chicago was eliminated in the first ballot of voting for the 2016 Olympics on Friday, a stunning defeat for President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama who put their capital behind an enormous campaign.
Though IOC President Jacques Rogge has said heads of state aren't required to attend the IOC meeting, recent votes indicate their presence can make a difference.
During the 2005 IOC meeting in Singapore, then-British Prime Minister Tony Blair successfully lobbied members on behalf of London's bid for the 2012 Summer Games. Two years later, Vladimir Putin, then president of Russia, helped secure the 2014 Winter Games … (37 comments)

tyler texas property: An oldie but a goodie... - 10/01/09 07:27 AM
The Democrats wanted a financial crisis and energy crisis to get their candidate in the White House. People have no earthly idea the lengths politicians will go too, to push an agenda down our throats. They will deny it to everyone that will listen to them. However the proof is there if you look for it. The Republicans lost their heart and their will to fight years ago when the media started an all out assault on their ideals.Let's start with the fact that most of the world's oil that is brought out of the ground is basically being held hostage … (5 comments)

Have you ever wondered how some people even survive with the attitude they poses? You know the type. They're the one that if they won the lottery, they would complain about the taxes. I will give you some advice about people like that. Run, I mean run away from them as fast and as far as you can. Negative people thrive on the destruction of other people. Your business life depends on you being ready and positive at all times not down and depressed. Never wish anyone … (10 comments)

tyler texas property: I believe that an uninspired mind is a wasted mind. - 09/30/09 12:49 PM
I believe that an uninspired mind is a wasted mind. I also believe that the more you use your mind at any age, the sharper it will be. With Alzheimer's and other diseases that affect mental function at all time high, I believe it is more important than ever to give our mind a workout every day. Not doing so, encourages diseases to take over our minds.
It is also my belief that you must be active physically. You may be over weight as I am, but you can still have an active life style. I love to play Golf and … (9 comments)
