tyler texas property: Part 2 of turn your hearing aid up!!! - 09/10/09 12:31 PM
H.R. 1086 - Help Efficient, Accessible, Low-cost, Timely
Healthcare (HEALTH) Act of 2009
(Gingrey, R-GA)

Introduced:  February 13, 2009
Summary:  Lawsuits are causing doctors to face skyrocketing insurance rates.  The threat of litigation causes many physicians to practice "defensive medicine," recommending tests and procedures in order to limit future liability rather than focusing on the needs of their patients.  The HEALTH Act, modeled after California's 30-year-old and highly successful health care litigation reforms, addresses the current crisis and will make health care delivery more accessible and cost-effective in the United States.
Under the HEALTH Act's … (7 comments)

Since January of this year proposals have been put forward by Republican leadership with this happening everytime; Speaker Pelosi and the Democrat majority have not considered this bill in committee or on the House floor.
Obama says he will listen, Really? Hell, people are screaming with proposals, turn your hearing aid up man!!!!

tyler texas property: Where there is smoke, there is fire! - 09/10/09 08:58 AM
Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel, a top advisor to the Obama Administration's health reform efforts, wrote in the Feb. 27, 2008, issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA): "Vague promises of savings from cutting waste, enhancing prevention and wellness, installing electronic medical records and improving quality of care are merely 'lipstick' cost control, more for show and public relations than for true change."
The change the president asked Americans to believe in when he campaigned last fall somehow didn't include the $3.6 tn in new spending, the $787 bn stimulus plan, or a nearly $1 tn overhaul of health care.

tyler texas property: President George W. Bush is booed and heckled by Democrats at his 2005 State of the Union address. - 09/10/09 08:03 AM
President George W. Bush is booed and heckled by Democrats at his 2005 State of the Union address.
House Democrats seized on House rules Thursday to demand South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson offer a high-profile apology to President Obama for shouting, "You lie," during the president's health care address.
Democrats have threatened to censure Wilson absent such an apology. With a leadership meeting set for Thursday afternoon, it is possible they will discuss it and introduce such a measure next week even though House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had said that was not being talked about.
Wilson called the White House … (10 comments)

tyler texas property: Just a start.... - 09/10/09 02:41 AM
Well folks it's happened! We are no longer the "UNITED" States of America, last night made sure of that. I was afraid that this would happen and it did. Blame, blame and more blame. Lie, lie and more lies. I do wish the South Carolina gentleman would have kept his mouth shut, knowing how VINDICTIVE this group of socialists are. Yes he was right, but you just don't poke the bear folks!
As a Texan, I no longer wish to be apart of the "States of America". I think our sovereignty is more important than the ego's in D.C. and their … (10 comments)

tyler texas property: Oh Yeah, I have thousands left for forced healthcare. - 09/09/09 01:54 PM
In his address to Congress, Obama says it's time to work on fixing health system that is at its 'breaking point.'
"President tells Congress he wants a health reform bill that will require people to have insurance, similar to state-based car insurance mandates."
Wow, how do we mandate the people who are here illegally?
Amazing when he was running for president, healthcare reform was not even on the radar and a few short months later it's at the "breaking Point?"
So now we force people to buy health insurance for thousands of dollars. It is unbelievable that forced expenditures … (11 comments)

tyler texas property: The true fix to Healthcare is in Tort reform - 09/08/09 07:09 AM
The human body is the most complex thing in the universe by most estimates. Given that, it is apparent that you can't have a fixed way of looking at treatment. What works on me, won't work on you, so fluidity should be encouraged. Treatment should be administered by need and not by what's paid for by some plan.
While the system we have appears broken, it really is just flawed. I believe that the flaw comes from years of building in costs to handle lawsuits and other legal battles resulting from treatment. A few years ago 20/20 had a special about … (16 comments)

tyler texas property: Pravda Anyone? - 09/07/09 10:16 AM
Major news outlets, like The New York Times, The Washington Post and CBS ignored the mess surrounding former White House environmental Czar Van Jones and the videos surfacing of his controversial statements.
Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said Jones continued to work in the administration and asserted that the president didn't agree with his controversial statements. Yet most of the media still didn't pay attention even after Gibbs' comment.
CBS News became the first of the three broadcast networks on Friday to note the controversy, but ABC's "World News" and "NBC Nightly News" again failed to report the story.  After Jones' midnight … (21 comments)

tyler texas property: Both parties are not seeing this clearly. - 09/07/09 06:45 AM
Under the Obama administration the Department of Interior which handles offshore leasing has not issued a single lease allowing exploration and drilling in the 85 percent of America's waters where Congress repealed the oil-drilling restrictions in the last year of the Bush administration.
BP has announced the discovery of yet another huge oil field in the Gulf of Mexico. At the same time, communist Russia is ready to work with Cuba to begin drilling 50 miles offshore Key West in the Gulf, and China is negotiating with Canada for the right to develop the vast oil resources in Alberta.

This guy was someone, we could have liked. Ha Ha, If he was still around.
I think when you spread the wealth around it's good for everybody.
A good compromise, a good piece of legislation, is like a good sentence; or a good piece of music. Everybody can recognize it. They say, 'Huh. It works. It makes sense.'
I will cut taxes - cut taxes - for 95 percent of all working families, because, in an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle class.
If the people cannot trust their government to do … (5 comments)

tyler texas property: Another round of "Who said It?" - 09/07/09 02:04 AM
Some of these are funny and some are profound. I like them all and this should be a real easy one to solve. No Googleing. LOL
Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
Every government is a parliament of whores. The trouble is, in a democracy, the whores are us.
Government proposes, bureaucracy disposes. And the bureaucracy must dispose of government proposals by dumping them on us.
If government were a product, selling it would be illegal.
Ideology, politics and journalism, which luxuriate in failure, are impotent in the face of … (6 comments)

tyler texas property: Does anyone understand what "Foriegn Policy" is!!!! - 09/06/09 03:27 AM
WASHINGTON - The European Union is strongly criticizing a congressional proposal to charge a $10 fee to some visitors to the United States and suggesting it may carry a price for U.S. travelers.
If it passes, the EU says, some U.S. travelers to Europe could face retaliation.
The fee now under consideration in Congress would finance a new U.S. program to promote travel, a burden that the EU believes Americans should bear.
"Only in `Alice in Wonderland' could a penalty be seen as promoting the activity on which it is imposed," the European Commission's Ambassador to Washington, John Bruton, said in … (7 comments)

tyler texas property: Any Questions? - 09/04/09 02:36 PM
This is private enterprise at work:
A brand new 747-400 runs about $260,000,000 (260 million). Some of the newer freighters are going for more than $300 million.
This is our Government at work:
A brand new F-22 Raptor costs 339 million without ammunition. A B-2 bomber costs 2.2 BILLION each.
The government wants to run our health care system!
Any Questions?
My son is in the Navy and I want the very best for him but even he has a problem with the price difference.

He went to the Doctor and they ask him to sign a paper saying he was entitled to privacy. He recognized 3 people while he was there, so how private was it, he wondered?
He went to the Airport and they ask him if anyone he DID NOT know had put anything in his bag? He wondered what? As he witnessed them, searching an 85 year old grandmother like she was a criminal.
He went online, to see if the car he wanted qualified for the Cash for Clunkers program. He was advised that by logging on, his computer was under … (11 comments)

tyler texas property: You can add up the numbers - 09/02/09 01:52 PM

You can add up the numbers, over 57% goes to aid of some kind or mandatory spending. I wonder how much more we can handle in these categories. If you add health care at about 100 billion a year this pie chart and the percentages get pretty skewed. I just wonder, if we take our time and really look at everything, just how much we could have available for health care? Taking a hard look at costs and waste in every area might surprise us all.

tyler texas property: This has been building for 20 years - 09/02/09 12:52 PM
The Congressional Budget Office estimated in December that a tax of 3 cents on every 12-ounce can of soda would raise $50 billion over 10 years. Not surprisingly, a soda tax is among the revenue streams being eyed as U.S. lawmakers tackle healthcare reform.
As they search for ways to boost federal revenues, Congressional number-crunchers are encouraging lawmakers to consider drastic changes to the tax benefits homeowners get from their mortgage interest payments. The Congressional Budget Office actually recommended changing the deduction to a flat 15% tax credit on the annual interest paid.

tyler texas property: Running scared!! - 09/01/09 05:13 AM
Amazing is all I can say. One of the great agents in our Market Center was just telling me about a couple with 700 plus credit scores who are down sizing. They also have a great debt to income ratio. Guess what, 4 , count them 4 underwriters for FHA would not loan them money for fear that they may flip the home.
Isn't that just great, now they don't even want to make good loans! The kids move out and you want to downsize and act finically responsible and they come up with this game now.

tyler texas property: This is not a good thing folks! - 09/01/09 03:22 AM
As they search for ways to boost federal revenues, Congressional number-crunchers are encouraging lawmakers to consider drastic changes to the tax benefits homeowners get from their mortgage interest payments.
Yes you heard me right, now they are coming after the home owner's interest deduction.
They complained that the "tax code treats investments in owner occupied housing more favorably than other investments."
The Congressional Budget Office actually recommended changing the deduction to a flat 15% tax credit on the annual interest paid.
Their second proposal puts a ceiling of $500,000 as the limit you can claim a deduction against. … (10 comments)
