As I visit, recruit and train Real Estate Agents from around the country, I find several kinds of business practices, but two dominate.
The first, is a true consummate pro who has shifted with the market and stayed or became successful in a market that is clearly volatile. On Wednesday, before he addressed a Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Reid joined the chamber's board members for a meet-'n'-greet and a photo. Back when John Kerry was running for President the Governor of Massachusetts had the right to "appoint" his successor to the U.S. Senate. One problem, the Governor of Massachusetts was a conservative. So, Ted Kennedy lobbied for and got passed, a bill that would provide for a "special election" in order to replace a Senatorial seat that had been vacated. I think this is truly the best thing of course. Let the people pick their Senator through an election, not an appointment. I have to give credit to the Democrats that went home and faced the music in live Town Hall meetings. Bravo, even if I disagree with you and I do, I think that was a good move. I do have a question though, where is Nancy Pelosi? I have challenged her to a debate with no response. She has successfully demonstrated that as a leader she is good at hiding. Thousands of pages in a health care bill and not a single sentence on tort reform. I guess they figure you can't sue "City Hall". I bet Nancy and Harry sneak in a Gulf-stream or two in the final revised version. Now they go after the CIA as a distraction. Smart move you guys. It has been reported that the Cash for Clunkers program buyers, have much better credit than the normal car buying customer in the past. I know the administration is handling their end of the deal poorly, but the fact is, it worked to clear the shelves at car dealerships nationwide.
