Is your city dying? Forbes reported last August that Cities like Detroit Michigan and Cleveland Ohio were dying from job loss and an economy that had stalled out. Well, here we are a year later and Rust belt cities are still very much struggling under an economy that has not been unable to restart in the current economic times. Businesses continue to leave areas like Detroit, Flint, Canton and Cleveland. Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer claimed such behavior is "simply un-American." The "un-American" dig was a sign the debate is heating up. In a tight spot, Pelosi is known for employing tough rhetoric and accusations to muscle her way out. This morning it was announced that our Very own Keller Williams in Tyler, Texas was #2 in the region for July of 2009. We strive every day to be the best Real Estate company in East Texas and it is great that the agents achieved this milestone. There are 30 + market Centers in the region and I was taken by surprise when I was told. Every agent at KW Tyler should give themselves a round of aplause. Yes the road will curve or fork or even be blocked at times but always move forward. Go thru, around, over or whatever you need to do to stay on course. I am beginning to think that maybe we should have done without TARP and the other so called stimulus and just dealt with energy and corrupt politicians. The more I think about it, I think we are looking at the wrong things in order to have a long term fix. If we don't deal with energy and egos we will be in the same spot again very soon. The Obama administration will suspend the "cash for clunkers" program unless the Senate provides $2 billion more for the popular car incentive plan, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said Sunday. He said he expects the current $1 billion pool to be exhausted by the end of this weekend.
