Still, investors and homebuyers will find plenty of foreclosed properties. On Sunday, real estate agents from NP Dodge, including Mike Pettid, will offer the first Midwestern foreclosure tour.
"We'll have first-time homebuyers on the bus looking at investment or properties to live in. We'll have investors that have multiple properties," Pettid said.
The homes are sold by the banks that own them and are offered as is.
"I know of a home right now out in west Omaha that's listed at $325,000 that they paid over $400,000 for just two years ago," Pettid said. "Nebraska itself is not terribly hard hit. … (2 comments)

Congratulations to Joe Ridder of NP Dodge Property Management.  Joe lost an amazing 18.66% of his body weight to be crowned the 1st NP Dodge Biggest Loser!  For Joe's efforts, he will be taking home a 32" flat screen TV and a share of the prize money.   The contest started on January 7th with 113 participants and ended on March 28th with 27 participants losing at least 5% of their body weight during the contest period.  Over 542 pounds were lost by our participants at the final weigh-in last week.  Thank you to all who participated and congratulations to everyone on … (0 comments)
