home owner info: Quick tip of the day! - 03/08/10 11:02 PM

Head to the hardware store and pick up foam insulation specially made for outlets. Just cut to size, insert in the outlet and re-cover. You will be surprised at just how much air can enter or escape from this small area of teh wall. It may be the cold draft you've been searching for! (0 comments)

home owner info: Electrical Safety - 02/10/10 08:50 PM
This is a very useful link that I think all current and future home owners should see. It is also very useful info for all realtors out there so they can identify a potential trouble spot in a home. The panels mentioned on the page pose a safety issue and will need to be adressed in some way. All home inspectors will mention these panels and the potential safety issues surrounding them, so why not be prepared?
