      <description>&lt;p&gt;Welcome to the Oregon Association of Realtors&amp;reg; International Business Council Blog!!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As the first post in what we hope to be is very active and interactive blog site, we hope that you (Realtors&amp;reg;, lenders, appraisers, title &amp;amp; escrow officers, business persons, and general public) will be able learn about what the OAR IBC can offer you.&amp;nbsp; You can make comments here or go to our website at &lt;a href="http://www.oregonrealtors.org/ibc/"&gt;http://www.oregonrealtors.org/ibc/&lt;/a&gt; to find individuals who can answer your questions or additional education and events that are available.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;One of the events that OAR co-sponsors is a &lt;a href="http://www.realtor.org/cipshome.nsf/pages/education"&gt;Certified International Property Specialist&lt;/a&gt; class in March in Hawaii -see below.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) course curriculum is the educational foundation of the CIPS Network. It distinguishes CIPS designees as individuals who have both hands-on experience in international real estate transactions, as well as successfully completed an intensive seven-day program of study focusing on critical aspects of transnational transactions, including currency and exchange rate issues and cross-cultural relationships, regional market conditions, investment performance, tax issues and more.
