I really enjoy living on the Outer Banks with all of the natural beauty that surrounds this special place. The one thing I love the most is watching the sun set over the sound. There is such an peaceful easy feeling that comes over you as you watch the sun slowly fall out of the sky and dip below the horizon. After all the hoopla surrounding the first major wind farm on the Outer Banks off the coast of Buxton and Frisco in the Pamlico Sound, Duke Energy has decided to pull out. The project was seen as way to harness the enormous amount of wind energy from the Outer Banks to help power Hatteras Island. The project was also going to provide a springboard to larger wind farms that could power several counties in Eastern North Carolina.
