I really enjoy living on the Outer Banks with all of the natural beauty that surrounds this special place. The one thing I love the most is watching the sun set over the sound. There is such an peaceful easy feeling that comes over you as you watch the sun slowly fall out of the sky and dip below the horizon. I wanted to share this great slide show of black and white surfing pictures taken on the Outer Banks of North Carolina by a photographer named Chris Bickford. The slide show appeared on the New York Times website. These pictures are awesome and are truly unique with the black and white presentation. The Outer Banks has some of the best surf anywhere along the east coast. Recently Kill Devil Hills was named one of the Top 10 surf towns in the country by Surfer Magazine. Surfing is just another great thing to do here on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina.

How exciting that a major Hollywood motion picture was filmed on the Outer Banks!! My wife and I were lucky enough to be extras in the movie!! We can't wait to see if we made into the movie or were left on the cutting room floor. Even if we don't make it just being close to Richard Gere/Diane Lane was good enough for my wife. It was amazing to see how a movie was made. The crew spent hours setting up a scene that would take only a few minuets to film. We were on the set from 3pm to 3am … (0 comments)
