lisa glowacki: Buying a House and Making Home - This is what Homeownership is all about! - 10/20/11 09:55 AM
If you are looking to buy a home and this story doesn't motivate you I don't know what will. This is one of my favorite stories about a team of buyers, Realtors, and contractors not taking no for an answer. I remember looking for homes with Mic and Wendy some promised to be great but sadly disappointed until we came upon this home. The home was in a great location with large rooms offering charm and character but there was work to be done. If only I could image what they saw this home could be. We went into contract

lisa glowacki: Hey Peggy I want to give you my business if I could only get through. Come on! - 09/13/11 10:30 AM
Hey Peggy I want to give you my business. Have you ever had one of those Peggy days? My favorite is the Peggy Transfer Commercial. Yesterday was one of those days dealing with the cable company. One day long ago I came home only to find that the cable company had eliminated the old cable boxes. The TV screen now displayed a pink background with a message stating that the old boxes were no longer used. Not a big deal with cable ready TV and I plug the cable directly into the TV. I am not a big TV fan

lisa glowacki: The Start of a Gentleman's Farm - 08/05/11 09:57 AM
The Start of a Gentleman's Farm. If it's not about the ocean, it's about the land! We're fortunate to have both. Sometimes it is funny where your life's path leads you. A short background history is warranted here. I have never raised any kind of farm animals however my honey always has farmed around here and there. We've always shared the ocean so here is the story of the land. It started with a few Quail which starting laying eggs. So you know what came next - hatching the eggs. I kept saying the eggs are never going

Featured Coastal Community Tiverton, RI Fogland Beach Growing up in Tiverton I have many memories of Fogland Beach. My family would spend time at the beach every summer. My aunt had a Rambler station wagon which we fondly called the beach wagon. I remember piling in with my cousins and heading to Fogland. My grandparents taught us how to Quahog at that very beach and now I find myself sharing this beautiful place with my grandchildren. I recall saying someday I will live here. Although I don't live in the Fogland area of town I don't live far away

I never consider viewing listings wasting gas and if you're showing I'm going. My personal challenge is to view as many homes on the market as I can. How else can I tell you what is available when you ask. I have seen some exceptional offers and some homes with exceptional potential. All that is required is that you unleash your imagination. I admire the gift of vision people are graced with and often are wowed by the results. I am glad I didn't miss this one and would like to share what I saw with you. Photo provided by

From the Desk of Lisa Glowacki Real Estate Here is what is on my mind. Be it right or wrong it's my opinion. So you are looking to buy a house. I understand you want a great price what I don't understand is: Homes that you let get away or overlook. As I search the MLS and see the expireds or withdrawns I ask myself just what are you looking for? There are great homes offered at good prices, let me correct that statement, offered at good ASKING prices. Sellers are aware that they are competing with Bank Owned, Short Sales, and Flips however
