Recently FEMA updated their flood maps for the Lake Sunapee Region. Unfortunately some of these new maps show properties in flood zones when they really are not in a true flood zone. This is having a major impact on possible real estate sales in our region. Recently I dealt with this on a house that I sold in Sutton NH.

As you will see below, 2010 Lake Sunapee home sales were up over 30% compared to 2009 and the median sales price in 2010 came up to $381,500 to $1,075,000 which is a 55% increase compared to 2009.
