Via Sarah & John Rummage (American Realty Resources, Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin TN):
I got two calls yesterday from nice people who let me know that John's name and a fraudulent email address is attached to a scam/fraud rental ad. I have sent 3 emails to Craigslist to remove it. Still nothing. The ad is still online, with an unbelievably low rent, and 'send your deposit to Africa instruction.' Is there a way to get this removed? Is there a goverment body to report this to? Should anybody even look in Craigslist for rental ads? I wouldn't.

The Craigslist scam now hitting Ebay - 06/27/10 04:21 PM
A reminder came out from my local MLS board that property management scams on Craigslist, is also making the rounds on EBay and other websites.
Members of Ebay need to be aware that scam artists are posting residential listings, complete with pictures, online.
The fraudulent listings are posted with incorrect contact information, usually just an email.
This is usually only brought to the agent's attention when a potential buyer sees the post online and then drives by the property and sees the agent's sign and calls them directly.

In an effort to keep people coming to this area the TDC. The tourist development council had put this together in one week. The Northwest Florida Daily this week advertised the event and word has spread.
Adjacent to the Boardwalk, and listen to legendary artists Kenny Loggins and the Doobie Brothers. The Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau planned the Sunday concert to draw tourists to the area in spite of the oil.
Can the isle stand an onslaught of 30,000 Loggins and Doobie fans?

Days after the news came out of the disaster BP created in the Gulf Coast area, Jimmy Buffett contacted and teamed up with Vero Beach boat builders Dragonfly Boatworks to design and build special "S.W.A.T" boats to help rescue the wildlife in the area. (Read full article here)

Projections from NOAA indicate weathered oil from the leading edge of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill could impact the Florida Panhandle as early as this week due to a shift in winds and currents.Any impact to Florida's shoreline will likely be highly weathered - tar balls, oil sheen, tar mats or mousse, a pudding-like oil/water mixture that could be brown, rust or orange in color.

I have seen a wave of ads from an attorney firm Maloney-Frost in the last year everytime you turn on the tv and I was wondering why I didnt see anything from them with this BP spill. Today I have seen the first from them on the oil spill he talks of his family and fisherman in the area about how he will make sure they get every penny that is owed to them and everyone effected.

To any Realtors on ActiveRain that might be reading this Fannie Mae has in stock some of the new flyers currently. I just received some in the last couple days and they do stand out in the flyers boxes along with the MLS listings on the signs. Hoping this will help catch some attention in my area here on some great deals I have listed working with Fannie Mae homes. I have just finished reading an article about if a Realtor had a right to disclose home occupancy status to anyone calling in or is required to do so. I have received such calls and have ran into a couple of Census workers while checking up on vacant properties that I have listed. This is an interesting question as sometimes vacant homes can be prone to having items stolen like the A/C unit for example sad to say but it does happen in everywhere check police reports where you live you will be suprised.
