The Village October 2010 Real Estate Market Update
High list price: $195,000 Low list price: $57,000 Average list price: $110,760 Median list price: $109,900 The Village dives deeper into a buyer’s market with over 10 months supply of homes for sale. The 30% decline in average sold per month parallels what we saw MLS-wide for September.
Buyer’s – it just doesn’t get much better than this. Extreme low interest rates and seller’s pretty much against the ropes. Time to step up and buy!

The Village September 2010 Real Estate Market Report
Active Listings: 63 Under Contract: 17 Sold August 2010: 15 The Village market continues to be fairly robust with a 4.5 month supply of inventory. The bump to 7 months over the last 3 months reflects the slowdown after the tax credit expired and it looks like we’re back to normal levels now. Homes sold at 95% of list price and were on the market a median 55 days.

In the heart of north Oklahoma City lies The Village. The Village began in 1948-1949 as the returning war veterans needed housing. And that’s who the village homes were originally built for. By 1950, The Village became incorporated at a town, and by 1959, was large enough to incorporate as a full-fledged city.
The Village seems like just a large neighborhood, being just 2.5 square miles. There are 4,327 homes within The Village. Most of the homes were built in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
