Limestone County City of Madison residents’ service will not be affected. Allied Waste is closed for Thanksgiving Day. Trash service (yard debris and large items) for City residents normally provided on Thursdays will be Friday, November 23rd and Friday’s route will run Saturday, November, 24th. Slaughter Road forms the boundary between Huntsville and Madison; Huntsville to the east and Madison to the West. Heading South on Slaughter Road will take you to Madison Blvd (aka Rte 20), while heading North will take you to US 72 (aka University Drive). North of US 72, Slaughter Road becomes Jeff Road. Are you following me so far? :) Just to confuse the issue a little further, some sections to the East of Slaughter Road have been annexed into Madison, while some sections to the West have been annexed into Huntsville. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to find a company to run a gas line for a proposed gas cook top at a house in Madison AL. The question on many potential buyers' lips seemed to be, "I wonder if you could run gas for a gas cooktop", so we decided to find out. I called the gas company and several companies listed by Google, the Better Business Bureau, and in the Yellow Pages, without success. Finally, it was a chance comment to another vendor that resulted in a meeting with Joe East Heating and Cooling and an estimate to do the work. (More … (0 comments)
