When practically all over the country there was unbearable heat, we had just pretty regular summer temperatures. In Daytona area it is a big difference in temperature depending on where you are. The lowest temperatures are on the barrier island, which we call Beachside. In summer it is usually 3-5 degrees lower than on mainland. And this is very noticeable difference between 91F and 88F. Mid Winter in Daytona Beach After two coldest winters on record we have a reprieve. This winter so far is exceptionally warm. Next 10-day high temperatures range from 71F to 81F. I was driving today and at 79F outside temperature, had to turn on AC. And this is January, our coldest month of the year. I guess you understand that I do not complain here.
