When practically all over the country there was unbearable heat, we had just pretty regular summer temperatures. In Daytona area it is a big difference in temperature depending on where you are. The lowest temperatures are on the barrier island, which we call Beachside. In summer it is usually 3-5 degrees lower than on mainland. And this is very noticeable difference between 91F and 88F.
