Once again, another company’s invention to create a way to share your Outlook folders with another person on the other side of the world has made my life easier. I found Shared O several years ago while debating between having a client use an online server or backup and send files via email. Avoid having to perform double entries of your transaction activities by exporting the activities from Transaction Point to your Outlook or Outlook Express using the iCalendar feature.
Instructions:
Step 1
Open Transaction PointSelect Calendar from the link on the upper right sideSelect exportSelect the iCalendar optionClick OKStep 2
On the pop-up screen, select the option to download the file. If you have a pop-up blocker, you will not see this screen.Choose where to save the file. I spend a minimum of 16 hours per day on the computer and need to have access to a lot of websites. Minimizing and maximizing websites can become in pain in the butt at times. Therefore, I have been linking website directly to my client folders in Outlook.
How?
First you need to organize your folders. Refer to a previous Blog, Organizing Outlook that was posted earlier. After organizing your Outlook folders, create a folder for each website you would like to add by doing the following:
