mortgage fraud: NJ Star Ledger Report on Increase in Mortgage Fraud in NJ - 06/18/07 01:26 PM
The Sunday Star Ledger had a good article on the huge increase in mortgage fraud in NJ. While NJ may not have the most mortgage fraud cases it has seen the largest increase, over 200% in the last year. This is something that affects everyone in the real estate industry. Many criminals now see mortgage fraud schemes as a way to make easy money. The increase in mortgage fraud is a huge problem across the country especially in states with high property values, like New Jersey. The article was an eye opener for me. Not because I was unaware of the increase
