      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;In 1980, I bought a home in the Daytona Beach area for 89,000, a lot of money back then but it was a pretty nice 1800 sq ft home in a nice neighborhood. I sold it in 1991 for 89,000 and I thought that&amp;nbsp;wasn't&amp;nbsp;very good appreciation, but that was Florida Real Estate. In the hayday of the real estate bubble, that home was worth in the mid 200's, great appreciation. Guess what that home is worth today??? On a good day 89,000. Homes today are worth about what they were worth 30 years ago. hmm. Who would have thunk????&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
