Mobile homes are also called Manufactured Homes and were sometimes referred to as Trailers when they were first concieved back in the 40's. Manufactured homes have come a long way in the last 25 years, easily being able to compete with conventional housing. Single wide homes went from 700 sq ft to Double wides with 1800 sq feet and even larger triple wides. Trailers were usually located in Trailer Parks and were considered a cheap way to live. Today Trailer parks have morphed into Manufactured Home Resorts with all the Amenities that First Class Resorts offer. Gated resorts make these the safest, Age 55+ communities make them relaxing and Landscaping included makes it totally a retirees paradise. Whatever way you want it, you can have it. 1980 Vs 2011 Prices

In 1980, I bought a home in the Daytona Beach area for 89,000, a lot of money back then but it was a pretty nice 1800 sq ft home in a nice neighborhood. I sold it in 1991 for 89,000 and I thought that wasn't very good appreciation, but that was Florida Real Estate. In the hayday of the real estate bubble, that home was worth in the mid 200's, great appreciation. Guess what that home is worth today??? On a good day 89,000. Homes today are worth about what they were worth 30 years ago. hmm. Who would have thunk????

Here is a way of Retailing your virtual tours to FSBO's. Give them a Virtual Open House with the purchase of the virtual tour. Does anyone know the percentage of internet users that have high speed vs dial-up. I have tried to look this up, but found it nowhere. A dial up user takes several minutes to download just a simple virtual tour, so they opt to just look at pictues. I know high speed is growing every day and eventualy everyone will have it, but what about today?
