Clay County home sales have been struggling for over a year now. Clay County has been hit with a large amount of short sales and foreclosures. With short sales and foreclosures comes vacant homes. Vacant homes become eyesores with homes deteriorating, dead grass, and overgrown bushes. The county commission has recognizedthe strugling housing market and has passed a moratorium for the next 3 years to relax the small housing related signs.
