The data shows that we are still experiencing a buyers market with an inventory of over 26,000 homes currently on the market. Sales were also down almost 50% from July 06. Many people are unaware of how the proposed changes to the Florida property tax may affect them. The Orlando Sentinel has recently posted a Property Tax Estimator tool on-line. Hopefully this will give central Florida home owners a little clarification on what the proposed changes will save them. Please note that this tool is for the first phase of the tax reform and does not include the additional Homestead exemption that may be on the ballot in January.

Earlier this year I went on a listing presentation. I was very impressed with the home; it was absolutely gorgeous with upgrades galore in a good neighborhood. I thought to myself that even in today's buyers market if priced right this is going to be a fairly easy sell.
