So I thought I would take this opportunity to vent and share some facts. Here is the bottom line! Bellingham homes are still selling and the average selling prices are up for the year. So where is all of the fear and drama coming from? The biggest problem we have is that there are 3 times the amount of homes on the market compared to 2 years ago. The secret to selling a home in the

bellingham real estate: Bellingham Waterfront Land - 07/02/07 12:52 AM
Bellingham waterfront land Undeveloped Bellingham waterfront land has many uses. Bellingham acreage Bellingham acreage is easier to find than one might think. While many areas of the city have been developed for over a century, construction in other neighborhoods is just beginning. In these areas of Bellingham, acreage is affordable and a smart purchase. Houses constructed on Bellingham acreage are quite desirable. The large yards are perfect for impromptu games of baseball, a personal garden, or even for a place to raise horses. While many Bellingham homes are built on relatively large lots, acreage allows for a level of peace and quiet not found in most developed neighborhoods. Bellingham acreage

bellingham real estate: Bellingham Lots and vacant land - 07/02/07 12:38 AM
Bellingham Buidling and Vacant Lots Bellingham lots, coveted as they are, can still be found in every neighborhood. Whether homeowners are doing their part to prevent sprawl by subdividing their own property or Bellingham's rapid growth demands more borders to grow within (instead of out), available lots can be found north, south, east, west, and center. To keep the wilderness wild, Bellingham lots (as well as those in most of the country) are getting smaller. However, responsible development and areas of low-density zoning have allowed for some Bellingham neighborhoods to continue the tradition of open space. This leaves the buyer

bellingham real estate: Bellingham's York Neighborhood - 07/02/07 12:31 AM
York Neighborhood Bellingham WA The York District is a classic. One of the oldest neighborhoods in Bellingham, it boasts quality homes, mature landscaping, and a tight-nit community. Located just east of downtown, its nearly 3,000 residents enjoy the most unique parts of Bellingham. The neighborhood dates back to the late 1890’s, with most of the homes being built in the early 20th century. As a result, much of the architecture in the York District has strong Victorian influences. Though you will undoubtedly find structures created in the last few decades, the neighborhood maintains its distinctive, historical atmosphere. Businesses are scattered throughout
