I hear a lot of lenders and Realtors say that FHA requires a 620 credit score to get approved for a loan. Well if you have been looking to buy a home in Johnson County Kansas over the last 2 years you will find out that it is mostly true. It is true that you have needed a 620 credit score but what wasn't true is that FHA required a 620. While watching HGTV's Selling New York last night I heard the sellers and brokers complaining multiple times about todays picky buyers. How they want everything but your first born child to make an offer on your house. I came to a very quick realization. The buyer aren't the problem, it is the sellers.
During the boom years a seller could put a For Sale sign in the yard and unless there was something seriously wrong with your house or it was just extremely overpriced, it would sell. Now things are much different. Buyers want more, a lot more for that matter.

Hampton Place 2010 Home Sales Report The final tally is in, there were 27 home sales in Hampton Place this past year. That is down from 31 in 2009. You will see a huge variation in price from the older portion of the neighborhood to the newer portion.
