Have you seen a Roundabout?Growing up in Quincy, MA there was a traffic circle as you approached the Fore River Bridge that we called a rotary. I do remember others in the area at that time but I'm not sure exactly where they were. My understanding was that back in the 1950’s these rotary configurations were no longer being built due to traffic and other issues. There were many stories when I was in high school about people cutting through the rotary to take a shortcut to the bridge. Three (3) of the sales had lender involvement, either a short sale or foreclosure. Additionally, there are 22 homes under contract waiting closing and 10 of those have lender involvement. The highest priced home sold was a 3 bedroom on Ocean Edge Dr for $475,000 and the lowest priced was a 2-bedroom 1 bath on Hibiscus for $65,000.

The inventory continues to decline, with 3 fewer condos for sale this month than at the end of September. At the end of October 2010 there were 93 condos for sale so the inventory has been reduced by almost 40% in the last 12 months. A reduced inventory is a good sign that the market is recovering.

Bristalone, one of my Mother's recipes. She usually made it with Anise flavoring.Ingredients:3/4 cup Crisco 3 cups flour1 cup sugar 3 tsp baking powder2 eggs 3/4 cup milk1/4 tsp salt 2 tbs Your favorite flavoring (Anise, lemon,also could add some walnuts and make a maple walnut or vanilla and chocolate chips)Directions:Cream Crisco and sugar, add eggs and beat, alternate flour, baking powder salt with milk and flavoring. Spoon onto greased pizza pan making a ring around the outside and have nothing in the middle.Bake at 350 for 30 min or until toothpick comes out clean.

My lights are on again The lights on my office sigh are off at night from May through October each year during Sea Turtle nesting season. Since the season ended October 31, 2011 I can now have the sign lighted again
