I saw this sign hanging in a Wendy's  restaurant the other day.  It caught my attention.  It's called the MBA Honor Roll.It has to do with Dave Thomas and his attitude towards custormer service.  Dave was the founder of the Wendy's Restaurant chain.  In his book, WELL DONE: THE COMMON GUY'S GUIDE TO EVERYDAY SUCCESS, he writes, "I got my MBA long before my G.E.D. I even have a photograph of me in my MBA graduation outfit -- a snazzy knee-length work apron."In the Wendy's culture, MBA means Mop Bucket Attitude. I was talking to another agent last night in regards to a contact/offer we're putting together.  She works for another company and asked why I don't have a cell phone and how I survive in this business without one.
The reality is that I do have a cell phone and a cell phone number.  It's the number on my AR profile.  When I went into real estate, I knew I wanted to have a great cell phone number that would be easy to remember.  I think I did pretty good getting my number.

Got a call yesterday late afternoon from another real estate associate who works with another company in our town.  She is a good friend and a good competitor.  We enjoy talking about how each other is doing and about where we work, etc.  She's the kind of person who makes a good friend, but we probably wouldn't work well together (like on the same team) because we are so much alike.

Hey Folks,
I get this junk email almost everyday (see below).  I have assigned it to my junk email rules, but it still gets through the filter.  I've been told not to go an unsubcribe from things like this as it confirms your email address and you'll just more junk email.
Anyone got any good ways to deal with this kind of annoying stuff???

Teddy Bear and "Minnie Me" Teddy Bear
The little dog is my niece's miniature Chihuahua.  We're watching her while my niece is recuperating from having a C-Section baby delivery.
I never really was a dog kind of person, but my wife is an animal magnet.  She'd have a zoo in our house if I would let her.  My rule is that we can own one dog at a time.  The reality is that we own two (a Beagle not pictured), and a cat and we're babysitting the little one now.  It feels like a zoo around here, but the truth is...I love it.  … (3 comments)

Today in the world of Owasso, Oklahoma - 03/06/08 03:25 PM
We all know we're in a housing and mortgage crisis, right?  Well, not here in Owasso.  I took these pics in a new development today.  You can see that the rest of America might be drowning, but we're swimming just fine here...(be careful swimming in deep dark waters, right?!)
These houses are under construction and have just popped up over the last 60 days or so.  This development is one of at least three growing developments in our area.
One of the other developments is building houses in similar size and price ranges and is selling like hotcakes!

Do You Use Outlook or Something Else? - 03/04/08 07:33 AM
I use Microsoft Outlook.  Always have, even before going into real estate.
My website has an office function built into it.  You can run your schedule there, input your contacts, send out notices that you updated your blog and work your SOI.
Sounds good right?  The only problem is that I've already got all that in Outlook.  Furthermore, I also have the ability to mail out to my SOI through our business manager program.  One other deal here.  If I switch over to the website program, I will no longer run my scheduling through Outlook calendar.  This function syncs up with my Blackberry Pearl.

I started hearing about something on the Internet a while back where people just give their stuff away.  I investigated and found that it is called "FREECYCLE" and that it is for real and it works.
