Santa Claus smiled on me this year. I got a new laptop for Christmas! Now I have a dilemma. I'm going to take my old laptop to my office and use it there as my main computer. The new one will become my traveling, open house and home companion. Obviously, I'm going to be working on the two computers at different times. I'll need to be able to access docs, email, etc on both. Up to this point, I have been a hard core Office man. Been with the program for years. Love Word and especially Outlook. In fact, I just

Do you spend time checking more than one email account? Did you know that the typical real estate agent usually has more than one email address? When I got into real estate, I was given one by our MLS board and one by my company. I already had my private one and I also had one through my website. That's four email addresses! This morning, I got to go speak at our "Bootcamp" where newbies to the world of real estate go to learn all about this new and exciting career they have chosen. My topic was technology and specifically, FREE technology a person can use when entering into the real estate world. Listening to myself present the material made me realize that I have learned A LOT over the past 18 months since I went into real estate myself. I use Microsoft Outlook. Always have, even before going into real estate. My website has an office function built into it. You can run your schedule there, input your contacts, send out notices that you updated your blog and work your SOI. Sounds good right? The only problem is that I've already got all that in Outlook. Furthermore, I also have the ability to mail out to my SOI through our business manager program. One other deal here. If I switch over to the website program, I will no longer run my scheduling through Outlook calendar. This function syncs up with my Blackberry Pearl. No
