I have a confession.  I have a little problem with social media.  There's so much of it, that it is easy to get buried or lost as you try to navigate your way through it.  This past year, I jumped into the world of Twitter but basically ignored it.  Didn't do a thing with it.  Never signed in.  Never "tweeted."  Never even downloaded the application to my Blackberry.
All that changed over the Christmas holiday when I decided to check out Tweeting again.  I thought that since it was growing at like over 1000% that maybe I ought to take a look at this again.  … (3 comments)

This morning I woke up and signed onto Active Rain to find an interesting post by Brian Tercero talking about David Gibbonsof Zillow telling everyone in the world that blogging is "so 2008."

twitter: Are You a Native or a Tourist? - 11/09/08 10:20 PM
I read about this concept a couple of years ago.  It was written in regards to church growth, but the idea applies to real estate big time!  Basically, the thinking goes like this...you may think you are a native in your environment because you've been you, doing what you're doing for a long time.  However, you may actually now be a tourist in your world because the world around you changed while you stayed the same.
