buyer representation: An Open Apology Letter To The House Seller - 07/02/09 05:49 AM
Dear Mr or Ms House Seller,I am a Buyer Representative.  My goal is to find the right house for my clients and in the process hopefully find a buyer who will want to buy the house you are selling.  I know that it is frustrating when I call for an appointment and you get all ready to show your home then I call and say that I need to cancel.  I am deeply aware of how exhausting it is for you.  Please understand that it is equally frustrating and disappointing to me to work hard preparing to show your home only to … (43 comments)

buyer representation: Looking at Things with a Fresh Set of Eyes - How to Relate Just About Anything to Real Estate - 06/08/09 10:43 AM
Well I got to go out on the new motorcycle yesterday.  I had not had any time to go riding since my husband got this newest addition to his toybox (He does like toys) and I have to say I loved it.  This is a bike for the more mature rider as the other one we have is a 1960 Harley that does not have all the comforts of the new one.  This bike has a cushy seat and music....I know but hey I said it was an old man's bike.  It was awesome to be in the wind again and made me … (12 comments)

buyer representation: I Know This Might Seem Crazy But Take A Look At This House! - 06/05/09 07:40 AM
Has it happened to you?  I am talking about that feeling that a house is calling out for a buyer.  It is totally the opposite of the criteria they have given you.  It is more money than they want to spend.  It is in the wrong town but it almost compels you to send it to the buyer anyway.  I can almost see my buyers face as they open the email and find this "totally wrong" listing in their inbox.  They read my explaination that I know this is totally not what they asked for but occaisionally something will come on … (23 comments)

buyer representation: How Do You Find Your Way To The Right House? - 05/18/09 06:35 AM
I work with a lot of home buyers.  Buying a home is different than buying just about anything else.  I am not talking about the cost although it is probably one of the highest ticket items you will ever buy.  I am talking about the emotional aspect of the search and eventual decision on which house is the right house for you.  It will "take you on a roller coaster ride" as you determine the best option for you for now and for your future.

The high number of homes available in any given price range right now … (8 comments)

buyer representation: Making a Subtle Change in Self Promotion - What Do You Think??? - 05/06/09 05:36 AM
I am changing my "title" to better reflect what I do.  I have been busily building my own practice as a Buyer's Agent by word of mouth, Internet presence, and in print for about a year after deciding to focus on this corner of the real estate world.  I have been spreading the word about Buyer Agency and how much help having a Real Estate Professional on your Home Buying Team is.  I have taken the ABR courses and could use the accreditation but I have not completed the paper work or paid the $ to belong.  As a matter of fact I … (28 comments)
