positive life: I Know It Has Been A While - I Miss My ActiveRain Family and Freinds - 04/12/10 07:06 AM
I know I have not been around much lately. I have been busy with a client in finding her the perfect New York City escape home here in the Pine Bush area. She is happy enough with me so far to have sent me a referral and that is wonderful. I have also been busy launching a new business, totally unrelated to real estate but I find that I am getting some great positive rewards from touching lives in a different way. I posted the following on my new business fan page on Facebook which explains a bit about the (13 comments)
positive life: Mom and Dad Can You Spare An Hour???? - 11/09/09 07:14 AM
I am wondering about the lack of participation by parents in the lives of their children. It is amazing to me that so many parents are so busy with their own lives that they do not have time to give an hour or two to help make their children's experiences better. I wonder who exactly they think is responsible to provide help to their children so they can participate in positive activities? I don't mean to sound bitter by any means. I will be there anyway for my kids and for yours. I can not put myself in others shoes (21 comments)
positive life: Life Is Like A Pot Of Stew - Some Of My Thoughts On 2009 - 01/15/09 06:49 AM
Today I am making stew. It is cold and stew is total comfort food for me. As I plan to get the stew into the crock pot I can't help but think about the blending of ingredients and the slow simmer of the day in the crock pot and how it relates to our lives and businesses. Don't we all need to find a way to blend the needs of our families, friends, and ourselves with the demands of our business plans and the need for cash to make our way through life? We need to chop our time up (19 comments)
positive life: Practice Reality Based Optimism! - 09/19/08 12:47 PM
This morning as I was getting my daily dose of the wit and wisdom of Jason Crouch I had an epiphany of sorts. You see Jason was talking about a negative person and how they can never see the good side of life. I commented that I practice Reality Based Optimism. I have never had a term for my phylosophy before so thanks Jason for bringing it to me through your post. I have sometimes been accused of being unrealistic by those negative types of people because I try to see the up side to everything. I do not go around wearing (16 comments)
positive life: I Blog Mostly For Me But I Have Others In Mind Always -My Legacy OnLine - 09/07/08 06:47 AM
My on line legacy.... It is my hope that my words will inspire, assist others, and entertain. I am a positive person (well most of the time anyway) and I want my on line legacy to reflect a positive view of life. Since these little musings will be floating around cyberspace forever, I make sure that my children and their children will be able to read what I write with pride and joy. I want to inspire others to be of service to others and to find reward in just the simple fact that you did it to help someone else. (42 comments)
positive life: I Needed That But I'm Over It Now - 03/29/08 08:12 AM
The energy that is generated by living in a positive way will reward you. Every time things start to go in the negative direction you need to acknowledge the feeling but give the moment it's due and move on. At the office we say "I needed that but I'm over it now." Dwelling on the negative creates a downward whirlpool which can steal everything from a person. Positive actions and attitude, living by the Golden Rule, these things may make you loose out on a listing sometimes or to do something without compensation but doing the positive brings more profitable opportunities (13 comments)
